People aren’t terribly pleased with Snoop Dogg at the moment.
The rap star took to the stage at president-elect Donald Trump‘s so-called ‘Crypto Ball’ that took place on Friday (January 17) ahead of his inauguration tomorrow.
In videos of the night, Snoop Dogg is seen stood behind some DJ decks while performing some of his best-loved songs for the audience filled with cryptocurrency executives.

Speaking to Reuters, attendees said that Rick Ross and Soulja Boy also performed on the night.
In a video that’s doing the rounds online of Snoop’s performance, his fans were quick to criticize him.
“This is culturally embarrassing and disrespectful asf,” one fumed on Instagram.
Noting the late rap greats T-Pac and Nipsey Hussel, another wrote: “Nipsey and Pac would never!!!”
“Disappointed in Snoop,” penned a different person, as someone else said: “All money ain’t good money. There is no way Snoop NEED a check. You can turn down somethings.”
Others have suggested that the rapper is a hypocrite, having publicly spoken out against Trump around the time of his first inauguration in 2017.
Snoop says in an newly resurfaced clip: “So ain’t nobody gon’ perform for Donald Trump huh? Which of you jiggaboo a** ni***s gon’ be the first one to do it?”
He went on to say he would ‘roast the f**k’ out of anyone for doing it.
The same year, Snoop released a music video for his track ‘Lavender’ that saw him aiming a gun at a clown dressed like Trump.
But Snoop seems somewhat unbothered about people’s recent criticisms and, in a video shared by fellow performer Rick Ross, the ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper said: “It’s that crypto, see. Got a real Crip up in the Crypto Ball, bang bang.”
UNILAD have approached representatives of Snoop for comment.

Away from the performances given on the night, Trump’s Crypto Ball was part of his campaign to become a so-called ‘crypto president’.
When he returns to office, the 78-year-old is expected issue executive orders aimed at reducing crypto regulatory roadblocks and promoting widespread adoption of digital assets.
Meanwhile, Trump has released his very own meme coin that’s so far made more than 500 people millionaires.
Within just six hours of its release, the coin went from a few cents to $14, and it just kept climbing from there.
It eventually went on to hit highs of nearly $5.5 billion, as per CoinMarketCap.com, thus making the few hundred investors very rich, very quickly.

Snoop Dogg has a bone to pick with the Grammys after being nominated 16 times but never receiving an award.
This year’s show has been an interesting one to say the least – with some drama occurring between Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus after an awkward Grammys snub at the same time the Hannah Montana star picked up her first Grammys award.
While Miley may have picked up her first award at the 2024 Grammys, there are plenty of big names that have received many nominations but haven’t picked up an award.
In fact, the likes of Travis Scott, Busta Rhymes, Nicki Minaj, and Snoop Dogg have all picked up over ten nominations over the years but never won a Grammys award.
The rapper himself has received a whopping 16 nominations in his time, including four for the Best Rap Song.
2003’s ‘Beautiful’, 2004’s ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, 2007’s ‘Sexual Eruption’, and 2011’s ‘Young, Wild & Free’ all received accolades but not the final award.
Snoop has also received four nominations for Best Rap Performance but they also failed to land.

And Snoop is not particularly best pleased he has failed to claim a Grammy award during his career so far, something which is very obvious with a recent Instagram post.
Taking to Instagram on Monday (5 February), Snoop wordlessly called out the awards show after sharing a screenshot of an article by Business Insider listing him among the best artists to have never won.
And it seems like Doggfather calling out the Grammys might become a yearly tradition as he also took a similar approach last year.
Taking to his Instagram, the rapper shared a list of his peers who have won before him.
According to the list, Jay-Z had 24 Grammys, Kanye West had 24, Kendrick Lamar had won 17 times, Eminem had 15 and Pharrell had been awarded 13 times.
Snoop wrote in the caption: “Snoop Dogg. 20 nominations. 0 wins,” though he might want to check his Wikipedia again about how many nominations he has.

While Snoop may have a long desire to win a Grammy, however, he has zero interest in an OnlyFans career.
During an appearance on Slink Johnson’s first-ever Wake & Bake with Double S Express Instagram Live show, Snoop admitted he’s never been tempted to join the platform – despite being told he could make $100 million by ‘pulling that thang out’.
He continued to say: “I’m like, ‘I got a Black wife, n****. Ain’t no way in the world she gonna allow me to go on there and pull that thang out for no amount of money!’”

People have a bizarre conspiracy theory about a woman who was present during Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.
On Saturday, July 13, the former US president was speaking on stage at a rally in Pennsylvania when gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks – who was hiding on a roof 150 meters away – fired several shots in his direction.
Trump managed to tilt his head at just the right moment, meaning the bullet grazed his right ear.
Following the scary ordeal, Trump could be seen ducking down behind the lectern, before he was rushed off stage by his security team.
Tragically, two other people were critically injured during the incident and one man, 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, died.
Since the incident, people across the world have been analysing footage which has been emerging online.

One clip shows a woman standing to Trump’s left as the shooting unfolded. But instead of ducking, panicking or even trying to flee the scene, people have noted how she appeared totally relaxed amidst the chaos.
It’s important to note that none of us truly know how we would have reacted in that situation.
But despite this, the internet has been going wild, with people even believing the woman to be FBI assistant director, Janeen DiGuiseppi.
Some even suggested she ‘nodded’ just moments before Crooks opened fire.
The outlandish theory has been debunked by both experts and the FBI.
“The allegations circulating on social media about an FBI executive and the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania are categorically false,” a FBI spokesman told the Mail Online.
“To be clear, the person depicted is not her and she did not attend the rally. The men and women of the FBI work tirelessly and selflessly to protect others every day, and false rumors and conspiracy theories targeting these dedicated public servants are reprehensible and irresponsible.
“They are also dangerous and often lead to threats against them and their families. The FBI will continue to work with our partners to hold accountable anyone who makes violent threats against them or any of our colleagues in law enforcement.”
Meanwhile, Shayan Sardarizadeh – a BBC misinformation specialist – has also rubbished the claims on social media.
“A new conspiracy theory, currently racking up millions of views, baselessly claims that a female supporter seen behind Trump when he got shot is assistant director of the FBI’s insider threat office Janeen DiGuiseppi, who was helping the shooted,” he said.
“Those are two different women.”
As the speculation unfolds, political commentator Candace Owens shared a podcast episode on Friday (19 July) evening, which debunked the theory.
Candace claimed she has verified the identity of the woman, explaining she is a private citizen and so will not be releasing her identity, but confirming it is not Janeen DiGuiseppi.
UNILAD has reached out to the FBI for comment.

Trump has now given his first major speech following last weekend’s assassination attempt.
Reflecting on the near-fatal day for the former president, Trump told crowds: “It was a warm, beautiful day in the early evening in Butler Township in the great commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
He continued, as per Sky News: “Behind me and to the right was a large screen that was displaying a chart of border crossings under my leadership.
“In order to see the chart, I started to turn to my right, and was ready to begin a further turn, which I’m lucky I didn’t, when I heard a loud whizzing sound and felt something hit me, really hard, on my right ear.”
He continued: “I said to myself, ‘Wow, what was that – it can only be a bullet,’ and moved my right hand to my ear, brought it down, and my hand was covered with blood.
“I immediately knew it was very serious, that we were under attack, and in one movement, proceeded to drop to the ground.”
Trump further explained that there was ‘blood pouring everywhere’, but he still felt safe because he ‘has God on his side’.
“The amazing thing is that prior to the shot, if I had not moved my head at the very last instant, the assassin’s bullet would have perfectly hit its mark, and I would not be here tonight,” he continued.

Actor Drea de Matteo has revealed her theory about Donald Trump’s assassination attempt and why ‘there’s Trump derangement syndrome’.
On July 13 at a rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania, shots were fired in what is believed to have been an assassination attempt on former president of the US, Donald Trump’s life.
However, despite footage backing up the incident and the FBI also speaking out, some have questioned the portrayed version of events.
Footage showed the moment Trump’s hand flew up to his right ear as the sound of bullets whizzed past, the 78-year-old later emerging with a bloodied ear and taking to social media to speak out about the incident and his injuries.
The FBI later identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks and the US Secret Service released a statement confirming a shooting incident had taken place. Eyewitnesses spoke out and others were reported injured, with one member of the audience, 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, killed.
However, not everyone was convinced by the portrayed version of events. HBO’s Insecure actor Amanda Seales branded the incident ‘more staged than a Tyler Perry production of Madea Runs for President’ and other conspiracy theorists looked to a woman captured in the footage who appeared pretty relaxed amid the chaos.
And the latest person to speak out is Emmy-award-winning actor Drea de Matteo – best known for her role in TV drama The Sopranos.

The former actor turned OnlyFans content creator told The Mail Online she thinks the assassination attempt was ‘clearly an inside job’.
She explained: “I think this attempt was clearly an inside job. All these kids that are saying ‘I can’t believe he missed’. A lot of people don’t have a clue what’s really happening and that’s why there’s Trump derangement syndrome.
“It’s the level of propaganda and the twisting of information… there’s no truth out there anymore. And if you want it, you must carry on you have to pick up every rock in sight.”
Despite sharing her own theory, she urged people to not ‘follow any celebrities‘ and not ‘have any idols’ and for everyone to ‘make [their] own decisions’.

Reflecting on Tenacious D musician Kyle Gass’ comment not to ‘miss Trump next time,’ de Matteo said people should do the ‘work’ and ‘know what [they] speak of’ and ‘why [they’re] condemning this person’.
“And maybe lower your f**king voice when you’re condoning murder,” she adds.
The actor noted she’s ‘not trying to be self-righteous’ but ‘everybody needs to learn more about what’s really going on and then form their own opinions’ instead’.
She resolved: “Everybody is so tied into hearing what other celebrities have to say, because somehow, they’re a trusted voice.
“And I don’t know why because they’re just f**king actors. A lot of them are super f**king entitled Hollywood folks that don’t really do their homework. And that upsets me.”
However, de Matteo did resolve on a more positive note, saying: “I mean, they the left, and I am on the left, but I am embarrassed,
“I’m also embarrassed of my country. And I’ll wear an American flag all day because I am a real f*****g patriot. But I am so embarrassed by the blood on the hands of this country at this point and the karmic overload of just dishonesty and greed.
“It’s gone so far, but I really do believe in the people… I believe that we can make America great again.”

If you’ve ever wanted to hear Snoop Dogg rap about women and sex on top of a Disney instrumental then look no further.
Warning: you’re either going to love it or regret ever listening with the high possibility of ruining your entire childhood.
YouTube channel ‘There I Ruined It’ is known for ‘lovingly’ destroying your favourite songs and the latest victim is Snoop‘s 1993 classic ‘Gin and Juice’.

YouTube / @ThereIRuinedIt
With one of the catchiest hooks in hip-hop history, ‘Gin and Juice’ was listed as number eight on VH1’s 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs in 2011.
However, it seems the YouTuber took it upon themselves to remix the lyrics with the most unlikely backing track of all time.
They decided to mix Snoop’s heavy bars with The Jungle Book‘s ‘The Bare Necessities’.
Although the Disney song is also a classic in its own right, to match it with a song about LA street life in the 90s is quite the experience.
We first heard ‘The Bare Necessities’ on Disney’s 1967 animated film The Jungle Book and the song follows bear Baloo who explains to Mowgli the importance of taking it easy. Similar to The Lion King‘s ‘Hakuna Matata’.

YouTube / @ThereIRuinedIt
The iconic chorus goes something like: “Look for the bare necessities / The simple bare necessities / Forget about your worries and your strife / I mean the bare necessities / Old / Mother Nature’s recipes / That bring the bare necessities of life.”
Anyway, the YouTuber completely removes the chorus and replaces it with a song about gang life in 90s California.
The bouncy instrumental includes Snoop spitting some X-rated bars about women and condoms.
The lyrics go: “May I kick a little something for the G’s / And make a few ends as I breeze through? / Two in the mornin’ and the party’s still jumpin’ / ‘Cause my momma ain’t home / I got bitches in the livin’ room gettin’ it on / And they ain’t leavin’ till six in the mornin’ / So what you wanna do? / S**t, I got a pocket full of rubbers and my homeboys do too.”
So that’s my childhood ruined.
Fans can’t get over the rapper’s reaction to listening to the clip for the first time.
After initially looking completely perplexed, within moments he starts to bob his head up and down while reciting the lyrics from his famous song.
Commenting on the clip, one viewer joked: “Five stages of grief in 19 seconds. That’s gotta be some kind of record.”
Another wrote: “I love how he’s rapping along but very confusedly cause the melody isn’t right but it’s still sounds like his song lol.”
