Nashville school shooter posted disturbing details to social media before opening fire

A school shooter livestreamed his movements before firing in the cafeteria and killing a 16-year-old girl.

On Wednesday (January 22), Josselin Corea Escalante was the only victim of the Nashville, Tennessee, school shooting as 17-year-old Solomon Henderson unleashed 17 seconds of hell on the students and staff at Antioch High School.

Shortly after 11am, the killer walked into the cafeteria and fire 10 shots at pupils before taking his own life.

Now, Metro Nashville Police are attempting to piece together what happened and his motives.

Henderson took to the streaming platform Kick to livestream himself while he was in the school as he prepared for the shooting.

Sadly, the AI gun detection software, called Omnilert, that is rolled out in all Metro Nashville Public Schools failed to flag that Henderson was equipped with a gun, officials confirmed yesterday (January 23).

This was because Henderson wasn’t close enough for the cameras to give an accurate reading to detect whether or not he had a gun on him.

Taking to Kick, Henderson posted a photo on his account, that has since been banned, which read: “You already failed to stop what’s happening.”

Kick has issued the following statement: “On January 22, an attack occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, and was partially livestreamed. We extend our thoughts to everyone impacted by this event.

“KICK rapidly banned the account and removed the video. Violence has no place on KICK. We are actively working with law enforcement and taking all appropriate steps to support their investigation.”

His social media accounts revealed that Henderson was racist and antisemitic.

It is also understood that Henderson created two lengthy documents, one being 51 pages while the other is 288.

Speaking yesterday (January 23), Metro Nashville Police said: “It is clear that Henderson was significantly influenced by web-based material, especially that found on non-traditional sites that most would find harmful and objectionable.

“The FBI is working closely with the MNPD in the ideological influences portion of this investigation.”

While the force released a statement on Wednesday (January 22), that read in part: “Homicide Unit detectives along with their law enforcement partners in the MNPD and federal/state agencies are examining very concerning on-line writings and social media posts connected to 17-year-old Solomon Henderson as they work to establish the motive behind Henderson’s gunfire this morning in Antioch High School’s cafeteria.

“Sixteen-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante was fatally wounded. A 17-year-old male student was grazed in the arm. He has been treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Henderson died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

“The investigation to this point has not established a connection between Henderson and the two shooting victims. It may be that they were struck by his random gunfire in the cafeteria.

“The two school resource officers assigned to Antioch High School were in another part of the building when the gunfire started. They rushed to the cafeteria and arrived just after Henderson killed himself.”

Chilling social media post emerges from Wisconsin Christian school shooter's father before shooting

Chilling social media post emerges from Wisconsin Christian school shooter’s father before shooting

The picture of Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow was posted in August by her father

A chilling photograph of Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow is being distributed online, having first been posted by her father over the summer.

Yesterday (December 16), a 15-year-old girl opened fire at a school in Wisconsin, claiming the lives of a teacher and another student.

The harrowing events unfolded at Abundant Life Christian School, with the suspected shooter – believed to be Rupnow – going on to die from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Not much information about Rupnow has been released by police since they named her as a key suspect, but a glimpse into the late teen’s life can be seen online.

Over the summer, her father Jeff Rupnow shared a snap of the teenager on Facebook at a shooting range – an apparent pass time she liked to do with her dad.

Someone asked if the photo was of ‘kiddo’, presumably meaning Rupnow.

Her father replied the comment: “Sure is!!!! We joined NBSC this spring and we have been loving all every second of it!”

NBSC stands for North Bristol Sportsman’s Club – a gun club in Sun Prairie.

The photo has since garnered a lot of attention in the wake of yesterday’s events that Rupnow is believed to have been responsible for.

The teenager was also sporting a KMFDM t-shirt in the photo – a piece of attire Rupnow was seen wearing in other photos too.

KMFDM is a German rock band, who Columbine school shooter Eric Harris was also a fan of.

People have been speaking out since yesterday’s harrowing events, one person being Bethany Highman, the mother of a student, who rushed to the school and learned over FaceTime that her daughter was OK.

“As soon as it happened, your world stops for a minute. Nothing else matters,” she said, as per PA.

“There’s nobody around you. You just bolt for the door and try to do everything you can as a parent to be with your kids.”

President Joe Biden has also addressed the incident and has called on Congress to pass universal background checks, a national red flag law and certain gun restrictions.

“We can never accept senseless violence that traumatises children, their families, and tears entire communities apart,” he said.

He spoke with Wisconsin governor Tony Evers and Madison mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and offered his support.

Evers said it is ‘unthinkable’ that a child or teacher would go to school and never return home.

  • The United States needs a serious mental health reform and more education towards mental health. Prayers for the families but guns didn’t kill these innocent people.

    16

  • ‘Its unthinkable ‘, it’s almost everyday life in the USA. This is the 83rd school shooting this year. You’re pushing 500 mass shootings this year. Main cause of childrens’ deaths is a bullet. Oh well , thoughts and prayers.

    17

    • The guns have always been there, brother. That hasn’t changed. So it’s probably best to look at what has changed. Like the things that might influence someone to decide to do something like this, such as school curriculum, parenting and social media. Guns don’t cause insanity.

      9

    • Main cause of children’s deaths is mental health issues. No one in their right mind kills others then themselves. Then there parents with mental health issues that abuse & neglect.

      20

  • As you could expect

  • It won’t stop until these kids stop bullying !!

    5

    • Or you remove the guns from the situation. No guns, no shootings. Why spend years trying to stop bullying? It may never be eradicated. Or ban guns and action starts tomorrow!! It is actually senseless to allow so many children to die needlessly. I wonder with the us being so low on the safest count…

Social media account linked to Natalie Rupnow uploaded chilling post minutes before school shooting took place

Social media account linked to Natalie Rupnow uploaded chilling post minutes before school shooting took place

The accounts suggest the suspect had a disturbing fascination with death and an obsession with school shooters

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

A social media account linked to the suspect in the Wisconsin school shooting hints the teen had a disturbing fascination with death – and had uploaded a chilling post just moments before her rampage.

Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow, 15, reportedly injured six and killed two people, a pupil and a teacher, when she took a handgun into the K-12 Abundant Life Christian School in Wisconsin on Monday (December 16).

Police initially said a second-grade student called 911 just before 11am, though they confirmed this week it was actually a second-grade teacher who called for help.

Officers stormed the school minutes later, where they discovered multiple victims with gunshot wounds.

Rupnow, who had been a student at the school and went by the nickname ‘Samantha’, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, chief of Madison Police, Shon Barnes, confirmed in a conference on Monday night.

While an alleged document that is believed to have been the suspect’s ‘manifesto‘ has been circulating on social media, photographs and other social media accounts reportedly linked to the disturbed Wisconsin teen have also come to light.

A photograph of the youngster on her father’s Facebook page shows her aiming a rifle at a shooting range while wearing a t-shirt of the German industrial rock band, KMFDM.

The band was also a favorite of notorious Columbine killer, Eric Harris, who was seen wearing the band’s shirt before he and Dylan Klebold gunned down 13 people in the 1999 massacre.

Also similarly to Harris and Klebold, Rupnow turned the gun on herself after the atrocity.

Another photograph on her father’s Facebook page appears to show the teen cuddling with the family’s dogs.

But other distressing posts uploaded to a Twitter account and a Tumblr page, believed to have belonged to the suspect, have also surfaced.

The posts suggest Rupnow had a disturbing fixation on death and school shootings, even going so far as to idolize killers.

The Twitter account had a range of sick videos, from an unknown person committing suicide at a gun range to a 2015 school stabbing attack in Sweden.

Meanwhile, the blogging page shared images of weapons, made references to other massacres such as a 2007 school shooting in Jokela, Finland, and the Parkland high school shooter, Nicholas Cruz, and had a profile picture of a screenshot from footage of another shooting.

A CashApp account, also reportedly linked to Rupnow, featured a picture of the Columbine shooters, while Spotify playlists were ‘themed’ around suicide and murder.

One final post uploaded to the Twitter account, mere minutes before Rupnow allegedly opened fire on campus, shared an image of a person making an ‘OK’ sign in a bathroom cubicle.

The gesture is believed to be linked to other school shooters, according to the Anti-Defamation League.

The eerie posts suggest that the teen could have been inspired by deadly school shooters – which were also a key theme in the alleged manifesto.

However, police have been unable to verify the authenticity of the document, but said they are ‘looking into her online activity’.

The cops said Rupnow could have been driven by bullying on Tuesday but said it’s too early to determine if her parents could be charged with a crime.

“There are always signs of a school shooting before it occurs,” the police chief said.

Bodycam footage shows teen’s disturbing warning before he allegedly stabbed his mom to death

Bodycam footage shows teen’s disturbing warning before he allegedly stabbed his mom to death

Collin Griffith, 17, is accused of killing his mom, Catherine Griffith

A 17-year-old accused of murdering his mother allegedly tried to tell her he’s ‘not a psychopath’ and ‘not this murderer’.

Collin Griffith went to live with his mom Catherine Griffith in Florida in early 2024 following the fatal shooting of his father in February 2023.

The teenager was initially arrested in connection with his father’s passing but it was believed he acted in self-defense and so Griffith was never convicted of any crime.

On September 8, 2024, Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the teenager who reported his mom had ‘fallen’ on a knife and was bleeding from the neck.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement: “The next morning at the medical examiner’s office, after the autopsy, the medical examiner said it is not reasonable or possible that she died the way that he said she did, just didn’t happen.”

Months before his mom’s passing, Griffith is reported by PEOPLE as having been charged with domestic battery.

FOX 4 Now has since released footage from body cameras worn by various members of authority. Take a look below:

One clip reported as being from an arrest in November 2023 sees Griffith’s grandmother speaking to someone in the back of a police vehicle – allegedly Griffith.

The video sees a voice say: “I was saying, ‘Mom, I’m not a psychopath. I’m not this murderer. I’m just trying to peacefully leave or peacefully coexist. We’ll just figure something out. She kept telling me to shut up and shut up, and when I wouldn’t shut up, she hit me.”

However, his grandmother contradicts his recollection of events, responding: “No, that’s not what happened. You never said you wanted to peacefully coexist.”

Another part of the body camera footage shows Griffith’s grandmother explaining he asked to go into ‘foster care’ rather than returning to his mother’s home the day before his release.

In another video Griffith can be heard telling authorities: “I’m in a constant state of fight or flight. I don’t know, If I think she’s going to do something, even if she’s not, I might act. I’m not going to go crazy or anything but I’m not sure.”

When asked if he wasn’t sure if he’d hurt his mom, Griffith added: “Only if she tries to hurt me.”

Several body camera clips have been released (FOX 4 Now)

The probable cause affidavit also claims Griffith allegedly told police if he was returned back to his mom’s, he would ‘kill [himself] or [his] mom.”

Grifftith has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder. He remains in custody at the Polk County Jail.

State attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, Brian Hass, revealed Griffith is set to be tried as an adult ‘based upon the egregious facts and circumstances of this case’.

Shifty Shellshock shared cryptic social media post just before his death

Shifty Shellshock shared cryptic social media post just before his death

Previous posts from the Crazy Town frontman have emerged following his death

Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock shared a cryptic message online in the weeks leading up to his death, it has emerged.

Earlier today, the sad news was announced that the lead singer of the rock band has died at the age of 49.

News of Shellshock’s death was confirmed by the Los Angeles medical examiner after he was found dead at his home in LA on Monday (24 June).

A cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

Shellshock, whose birth name was Seth Binzer, co-founded Crazy Town in 1999 after meeting his fellow frontman, Bret Mazur, a few years earlier.

It has now emerged that the 49-year-old shared a mystifying message just eight weeks ago.

Taking to Instagram in April, over the course of just two days he posted eight pictures, one of which read ‘don’t you ever f**king apologize for being yourself’ – just one of several cryptic messages.

The first of the eight pictures he posted was a picture of him as a child, with blonde locks – instead of the bleach blonde hair he sported in the 00s, strikingly different to the now more familiar bald look he donned.

Another was a quote from co-founder of Def Jam Recordings, Rick Rubin, which read: “Aiming at greatness is different than aiming at being better than someone else.”

The next came after the ‘don’t apologize’ post mentioned earlier, the post read: “Thugged it out in silence & ima win the exact same way.”

The posts are heartbreaking to scroll through as Bizner gives an insight into his battles at the time. One of his posts was of his shoes and he was stood over graffiti reading ‘love’, as well as rose petals.

His caption read: “I’m a lover than a fighter …but the one I need to love more Instead of fight with is myself .. mr shifty true Love # Sober alive and grateful.”

While his pinned post showed Shifty topless with his arms folded revealing his chest and neck tattoos, as well as multiple face piercings.

Shellshock’s penultimate post read: “The black sheep, the odd ducks, the rejects, the eccentrics, the loners, the lost and forgotten. More often than not, these people have the most beautiful souls.”

His final post depicted an AI picture of a crowd of people all dressed white head to toe, including balaclavas, while one person clothed in black looks up at the camera.

The caption read: “To the ones who stay even when I try my hardest to scare the away.”

Over the years, the band released hits including ‘Butterfly’, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks.

Though their debut album, The Gift of Game, sold more than 1.5 million copies, the group parted ways after their 2002 follow-up, Darkhorse.
