When you marry a comedian, you basically sign up for the prospect of being the butt of your partner’s jokes.
This is something Scarlett Johansson learnt the hard way after she was brought up during a segment on Saturday Night Live (SNL) that her husband, Colin Jost, was on.
Jost has been a staff writer on SNL for two decades, and wed Black Widow star Johansson in 2020.
The comic is best known for his ‘Weekend Update’ segment, which he does with fellow comedian Michael Che.

For the bit, the pair write each other’s jokes, both of which they cannot see in advance.
And recently Che asked if Johansson would be OK with being mentioned and, while she gave it the green light, it’s safe to say she had no idea how far the jokes would go.
For the segment in question which aired on December 21, Johansson’s reactions to the remarks were filmed.
Her response quickly went viral as the actor was genuinely aghast.
One joke that really left Johansson floored was once about her vagina.

Speaking about the son he shares with Johansson, Jost said: “Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from their menu. But I ain’t tripping. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”
While Johansson knew a vagina-related joke was on the cards, both she and the audience weren’t expecting that.
Now Johansson has discussed her reaction in more detail while on TODAY With Jenna & Friends earlier this week.
Host Jenna Bush Hager brought up the hilarious SNL segment that was aired last month.
“It got so vulgar,” Johansson said as Bush Hager noted that they couldn’t show much of the show because it was so risqué and not made for day time TV.
Going on to note that she got a little bit of a heads up about being mentioned and the nature of the jokes, the actor said she told the SNL team: “I don’t want to get canceled or divorced. Those are my boundaries.”
Recalling what it was like when the jokes were being told as she was filmed, the Marriage Story star continued: “Honestly, Jenna, I felt like it was like To Catch a Predator when the lights kind of came on me and suddenly there was a whole audience.”

Luckily Johansson saw the funny side of things (NBC)
Fortunately, the A-lister had a ‘very stiff cocktail’ in her hand at the time, she quipped.
Emma Stone was also at the SNL studio at the time and she labeled the jokes as ‘not OK’.
“My heart was racing, my eyes were watering, my hands were [shaking]. It was very surreal,” Johansson went on to say of the experience.

A recent documentary about the Jerry Springer Show has shed light on one of the most concerning stories attached to it.
Netflix has recently dropped a new documentary, Jerry Springer Show: Fights, Camera, Action, focusing on the notorious day-time TV show.
While the show was cancelled in 2018, after premiering back in 1991, people are still fascinated by it because of its reputation of carnage and unpredictability.
While that sounds like good TV, this chaos etched into the real world and often saw the show face outraged critics and demands for it to be taken off the air due to its ‘extreme content’
One story that was particularly concerning is an episode that saw Nancy Campbell-Panitz confront her ex-husband, Ralf Panitz, and his mistress only weeks before she was murdered.
Campbell-Panitz wasn’t your typical guest and was described as a mild-mannered single mother.
However, she agreed to come on the show only to storm off the set when she realized what producers wanted from her, an attention-grabbing fight in front of a live audience.

Jeffrey Campbell believes the show misled his mother to get her to come on (Netflix)
Her son Jeffrey Campbell, who features in the documentary, explained the issues he had with the show as well as his thoughts on the show’s culpability for her murder.
He said: “To see her up there on stage looking like a deer caught in the headlights.
“I just wish I could go back and say, ‘Don’t do it.’
“My mother believed that Ralf had been deported to Germany and that the show was going to pay for his travel back to America, and that they would reconcile, and that he would tell his new girlfriend that he wanted to be with my mother.”
Even though she had been granted a restraining order against her ex, two months after appearing on the show in 2000, Campbell-Panitz was beaten and strangled to death by her ex-husband.

He was ultimately convicted for her murder and sentenced to life in prison. In his sentencing, the judge referenced the show and condemned both Jerry Springer and the producers.
In the documentary, the show’s executive producer Richard Dominick denied that the show had any thing to do with the murder.
However, Jeffrey disagrees and has said that he believes his mother was misled and continues to chastise the show.
He added: “I don’t think they’ve ever been held accountable for anything. People just watching this show and think. ‘Oh this is normal.’ It’s not.”
Jeffrey also attempted to sue Springer and the show’s producers but dropped his case without any compensation.

If you’ve watched Netflix’s new series A Man in Full, you’ll have scene that controversial bedroom scene.
The series recently dropped on the streaming platform, with the comedy drama following the life of Charlie Croker (played by Jeff Daniels).
Its synopsis reads: “[A Man in Full] follows an Atlanta real estate mogul as he faces sudden bankruptcy, and tries to defend his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.”
Adding to his ongoing woes, Croker’s wife cheats on him in the series with Tom Pelphrey’s character, Raymond Peepgrass.
Croker walks in on his wife’s extra marital affairs, and she flees the room – leaving Peepgrass and his erect penis to face her husband.
While having someone march in on you in undeniably a bit of a mood killer, Peepgrass remained erect after having taken viagra.
The scene in question caused a bit of a stir with viewers, with many Netflix fans questioning if it was necessary.

The risqué scene caused some controversy (Netflix)
Mary Killen – columnist at the Spectator – voiced: “I don’t want to see graphic sexual images when I’m watching a drama. There is too much already and it is reducing us to no better than barnyard animals.
“Viewers shouldn’t be forced to see pornography. This trend will end in tears as it’s depressing, unmysterious and taking away some of life’s magic.”
Now, Pelphrey has addressed the backlash, while also revealing where it was really his manhood we saw.
“All my wheels were turning because at that time, Kaley [Cuoco] was pregnant. I knew I was going to be a dad and all of a sudden, I just started thinking about everything different, like, ‘Oh, God, do I want to have my clothes off on camera?’” he told Variety.

“All things that literally have never crossed my mind, truly. I’m always like, ‘That makes sense, let’s do it!’ All of a sudden I’m like, ‘I’m gonna have a kid, I don’t know if I want her to see this!'”
Pelphrey continued: “Based on the text, we thought it was kind of funny that this little buggy Raymond Peepgrass might have a f**king big d**k.”
Was it his, I hear you ask?
No. Pelphrey was actually wearing a prosthetic for the questionable scene.
With the backlash the series has faced in mind, A Man in Full currently has a rather unfavorable score on Rotten Tomatoes.
At the time of writing, it has just a 44 percent Audience Score.

Janice Dickinson has weighed in on Billy Baldwin’s response to Sharon Stone naming the producer who ‘pressured’ her into having sex with the actor.
Despite not originally naming the producer who ‘pressured’ her to have sex with a co-star in her 2021 memoir The Beauty of Living Twice, Stone has since revealed the alleged incident took place during filming for the 1993 movie Sliver – her co-star was Billy Baldwin and the producer was Robert Evans.
Silver: Trailer
Making the revelation on an episode of Louis Theroux’s podcast released yesterday (12 March), it didn’t take long for Baldwin to speak out and – after her name was brought into the discussion – model and TV personality Janice Dickinson has responded too.
After Stone’s revelation came out, Baldwin took to X later on 12 March to question why Stone ‘keep[s] talking about [him] all these years later’.
His post reads: “Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances? Did she say to her gal pal Janice Dickinson the day after I screen tested and ran into them on our MGM Grand flight back to New York… ‘I’m gonna make him fall so hard for me, it’s gonna make his head spin.’ ???”
Baldwin added he has ‘so much dirt’ on Stone it ‘would make her head spin’ yet despite this he’s ‘kept quiet’.
“The story of the meeting I had with Bob Evans imploring him allow me to choreograph the final sex scene in the photo below so I wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon is absolute legend,” he continues.

Paramount Pictures
“Wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon? That might be fun.”
And Stone’s ‘gal pal’ has since responded to Baldwin’s social media rant.
Dickinson has denied Stone ever said she was going to ‘make [Baldwin] fall so hard for [her]’ that it would ‘make his head spin’.
In an exclusive statement to the Mail Online, the 69-year-old model said: “As I recall Sharon never said that to me. I am not sure why Billy Baldwin is bringing this up. I adore them both but that never happened.”
While Dickinson responded to Baldwin’s claims, didn’t address the allegations made by Stone who alleges she was summoned into Evans’ office during filming of the 1993 release and was told she ‘should sleep with Billy Baldwin because if [she] slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better’.

Stone told Theroux: “And we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem.
“And if I could sleep with Billy then we’d have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie, and the real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f**k him and get things back on track.
“The real problem was I was such a tight a**e.”

Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci both belong to a very exclusive club – they’re the only non-misogynistic co-stars Sharon Stone says she’s ever had.
Most of you will know the 64-year-old Hollywood star for her iconic turn in Basic Instinct, not least because of that interrogation scene.
Stone stars as Catherine, a crime novelist who wrote a book with an eerily similar plot to the real-life murder of her rock star boyfriend.
But the main hook of the movie is the ongoing sexual tension between Catherine and the detective investigating her, Nick Curran (Michael Douglas).
Since the 1992 film, Stone has taken on a number of movies, including the Martin Scorsese hit Casino.
The actor opened up about the flick in a new interview with Variety following her recent Saturday Night Live appearance alongside Sam Smith.
When asked about the performance, she replied: “I’ve worked with some of the biggest stars in the business, who will literally talk through my close-up, telling me what they think I should do.
“They’re so misogynistic.”
Stone pointed out that this doesn’t include Robert De Niro or Joe Pesci, who she worked with on Casino.
“That is not those guys,” she explained.
“But I have worked with some really big stars who will literally talk out loud through my close-up, telling me what to do.

“They just will not listen to me, and will not allow me to affect their performance with my performance. That’s not great acting.
“I mean, I get that you’re great and everybody thinks you’re wonderful. But listening, being present for those fractured moments, is really the human experience.”
Stone continued: “I am not the most popular actor in town, because people don’t want to hear my, as they say, f**king opinions… maybe because of my devotion, maybe because I’m just kind of a weirdo.
“But I’m just in it to be present.”
And this is exactly what she was able to bring to her performance with Smith, who performed their song ‘Gloria’ with Stone in the foreground.
Earlier this month, the star revealed that she was never ‘comfortable’ around Douglas while filming Basic Instinct – but that was the whole point.
You see, she deliberately didn’t get to know the actor too well so that any tension between the pair behind the scenes could carry through to their performances in front of the camera.

YouTube/SNL
She said: “I had met him on two or three occasions in social situations before I tested with him for this movie.
“I really felt that he and I could have a certain strange, dynamic energy together. I was never comfortable around him, and I don’t think he was comfortable around me.
“It was a primal thing for me. It was all about watching him, observing his movements, provoking him.”
It clearly worked considering how iconic the movie became, with Stone saying their ‘energy together was strong’ and that the tension between the pair ‘works very well’ on screen.
