Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin came face-to-face with his wife, Victoria Goodwin, as she was sentenced for her part in a murder-for-hire plot this week.
Earlier this year, police detained Victoria for an alleged plot to hire a hitman to murder her husband.
She was arrested after it was revealed she had been contacting a prison inmate in Florida, named Grant Amato.
Victoria had allegedly been in a relationship with Amato – who she had been communicating with through text and Facebook messages – when police confiscated his phone in October 2024.

Amato shot and killed his parents and brother after stealing $200,000 from his family to fuel his addiction to a webcam model who he met through a pornographic website, People reports.
He was sentenced to three life sentences without possibility of parole.
During one alleged exchange, Victoria, who married Aaron in 2022, said: “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
She then allegedly provided information about her husband’s whereabouts at the time, where he was shooting Ghost Adventurers in California, according to local authorities.
Victoria was also accused of agreeing to pay a hitman a whopping $11,515, as well as an upfront payment of $2,500 to kill the TV star.
Aaron only heard about the plot when he was told by detectives, after Victoria was arrested on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder.
Prosecutors agreed to drop the solicitation charge in exchange for her pleading guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder, court documents said.

Coming face-to-face with her in court this week, Aaron claimed that Victoria had slept with ‘multiple men’ prior to the plot, but that he had tried to work things out.
“For seven years I thought I was in the most loving relationship of marriage with my best friend, someone who I trusted in whole heart and laughed with every day,” Aaron said, according to US Weekly.
“Someone who made me feel like I was settled – like I was her one and only. I was loyal to her and [did] whatever I could to make her happy. I thought we were something very special, and so did everyone else.”
He continued: “She made me feel so special, and she was very – she was so sorry. At least that’s what you told me.
“Now, discovering she put a hit out to kill me more than once, got blackmailed and spent almost all of our savings to keep it quiet, and fell more in love with Amato.
“They even got spiritual married, and now I was called the first husband. They talked until she was arrested, and she sought out his help to kill me.”

Victoria also addressed her husband during the sentencing, saying: “Firstly, and most importantly, I would like to apologize to Aaron. I’m so immensely sorry for the pain and anxiety I’ve caused you and the betrayal you undoubtedly and rightfully feel by my actions.
“I need you to know that I will always hold love for you. I genuinely pray you find your joy and peace again, and I will bow out of your life forever to hopefully ease that process.
“I’m sorry I broke us, and I’m consumed with regret every day. My absolute promise to you is that you’ll never see or hear from me.”
Victoria also apologized to her parents, adding: “Secondly, I’d like to apologize to my parents. My actions are not a reflection of how you raised me with unwavering love and support, and I know I’m better than this.”
Victoria was sentenced to a minimum of 36 months to a maximum of 90 months in jail.

Authorities believe that Victoria provided information about her husband’s whereabouts when he was filming Ghost Adventures in California in hopes that this would allow killers to execute the plan.
They have also revealed that within the text messages they have seen, there is talk of $2,500 upfront payment for the murder of the reality TV star.
As well as this, authorities believe that the wife had set aside at least $11,000 to pay the alleged hitman, and Amato had also allegedly spoken about the plot to another individual.
Victoria is still in police custody and is currently being held on a $100k bail.

Tupac Shakur’s family are still looking for answers about the rapper’s death 28 years on from his murder.
In September 1996, Tupac was shot in a drive-by shooting, and died a few days later of his injuries.
It’s taken the authorities the best part of the three decades to charge someone in connection to his death – that person being Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis.
Davis is said to be a member of The South Side Compton Crips and was arrested last year.
He hasn’t been accused of being the actual gunman to have fatally shot Tupac, but investigators have alleged that he was ‘the shot caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime’, AP News reported.
Davis has denied any wrongdoing, and his trial has been set to begin in March 2025.
But away from Davis’ alleged connection to Tupac’s passing, there’s long been speculation that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs also had some kind of involvement.
As well as Tupac, there’s rumors Diddy has something to do with Biggie Smalls’ death – something which Eminem makes reference to in his new song titled ‘Fuel’.

With the years-long rumors in mind, Tupac’s family have reportedly hired investigators and, in a recent update, New York-based attorney Alex Spiro, to look into any potential links Diddy has to the ‘All Eyez On Me’ rapper’s death, Rolling Stone reports.
UNILAD have approached reps for Diddy for comment on the matter.
Back in one of the many police interviews he’s faced over the years, Davis alleged that the ‘Last Night’ rapper offered to pay him $1 million to kill both Tupac and Suge Knight.
Diddy has always denied any involvement, however.
The accusations he’s facing regarding Tupac’s death comes with a series of other criminal charges he’s been hit with in recent weeks, including sex trafficking, rape and racketeering.

Shortly after the charges were filed and Diddy was arrested in New York, over 100 people came forward with additional allegations about the disgraced hip-hop star.
Tony Buzbee is representing men and women who have accused Diddy of sexual abuse and exploitation, with some of the cases dating back as far as 1991.
“This is an important matter that we intend to aggressively pursue,” Buzbee said at a press conference per The Los Angeles Times after the news broke.
“We will leave no stone unturned to find all potentially liable parties, to include any individual or entity who participated in or benefited from this egregious behavior.”

A woman who told her heartbreaking story in a ‘must watch’ Netflix true crime documentary has explained why she took part following the death of her father.
The documentary, which released on the popular streaming platform earlier this month, tells the story of Jason Corbett, who moved from Limerick, Ireland, to the US in April 2011 with his two children after marrying American Molly Martens.
Jason and Molly relocated to North Carolina to get married, while Jason’s children from his previous marriage to Margaret ‘Mags’ Fitzpatrick, who died in 2006, came along too.
A Deadly American Marriage on Netflix tells viewers what happened next when Jason was brutally beaten to death with a baseball bat and brick inside his home.
Molly and her father, retired FBI agent Thomas Martens, were arrested and charged with second-degree murder, and received sentences of a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 25 years . But after a successful appeal, the pair’s sentences were cut short and they were released in June 2024.
A Deadly American Marriage includes interviews with those impacted, including Jason’s daughter Sarah Corbett Lynch.
After the documentary dropped on Netflix, Sarah,18, sat down with Glamour to explain why she ultimately decided to take part in the Netflix doc.

And the decision ultimately came about after a conversation with Tracey Corbett-Lynch and David Lynch, her auntie and uncle who raised her.
Sarah told Glamour: “There was a lot of discussion. We all sat down and spoke about it. At the end of the day we thought, If we don’t partake in this, it’s going to go ahead anyways.
“We would like to have our voices heard in it. And there were two strong women producers who were extremely sensitive throughout the entire process, especially because of me and Jack’s ages.
“We were both minors when it started. I do believe that it shows our characters in the way that we are.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Sarah was asked about how she feels she was portrayed in the Netflix film and discussed the general perception of the documentary.
She said: “I’ve been quite happy. I was happy with my contribution, and it does feel like a certain amount of weight has been lifted off my shoulders that people are hearing us now and can understand it.
“I suppose people could ask, ‘Why did you do the documentary?’ And it wasn’t really a choice. It felt like something we were compelled to do because we never knew what way it was going to go in America.”

The Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni legal saga has a new update, as court documents show the Gossip Girl star’s latest request.
In 2024, Lively filed her initial lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, where she accused the director of sexual harassment and orchestrating a subsequent ‘social manipulation’ campaign against her.
In turn, Baldoni issued a counterclaim against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation, civil extortion, and other claims.
The two suits also included several alleged text messages between the two and their PR teams, as well as a set of alleged demands made by Lively for Baldoni and others on set.
Both parties’ legal teams have denied the claims presented in both lawsuits, with Baldoni’s lawyers calling Lively’s accusations ‘categorically false’, while the A Simple Favor star’s lawyers accused the director of attempting to ‘turn the tables on the victim’.
Now, Lively is attempting to withdraw her claims against Baldoni of intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

The actor’s attempt to withdraw the complaint surfaced in a filing on Monday (June 2) by Baldoni’s attorneys, who’d filed a ruling to seek a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) release, which would require Lively to sign to allow them access to her medical records.
“Instead of complying with the Medical RFPs, Ms. Lively’s counsel recently advised us, in writing, that Ms. Lively is withdrawing her [infliction of emotional distress] Claims,” the suit claims (via Variety).
“However, Ms. Lively has refused the Wayfarer Parties’ reasonable request that the withdrawal of such claims be with prejudice. She is only willing to withdraw her claims without prejudice.
“In other words, Ms. Lively wants to simultaneously: (a) refuse to disclose the information and documents needed to disprove that she suffered any emotional distress and/or that the Wayfarer Parties were the cause; and (b) maintain the right to re-file her IED Claims at an unknown time in this or some other court after the discovery window has closed.”
Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyers Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb have dubbed the filing a ‘press stunt’ and that they are simply ‘streamlining and focusing’ her case.

They said: “The Baldoni-Wayfarer strategy of filing retaliatory claims has exposed them to expansive new damages claims under California law, rendering certain of Ms. Lively’s original claims no longer necessary.
“Ms. Lively continues to allege emotional distress, as part of numerous other claims in her lawsuit, such as sexual harassment and retaliation, and massive additional compensatory damages on all of her claims.”
Lively’s two emotional distress claims were key components of Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, Variety reports.
The outlet further says that it will now be up to the court to decide whether The Shallows star will be compiled to turn over information on her mental health.
UNILAD has reached out to Lively and Reynolds’ representatives for comment.
