A TikTok star has got people up in arms following a video where she appears to get tan lines tattooed on her – but there might be more to it than meets the eye.
In a video from January this year, influencer Ana Stanskovsky appears to get tan lines tattooed in a rather controversial move. The video caption claimed she wanted to appear ‘tanned all year around’ and people certainly had opinions about this.
Ana’s video was initially shared on her TikTok page, but it has since spread to other social media sites, with some questioning whether this is or will become a new tattoo trend.
In a follow-up, she insisted the tat would stay ‘as bold as it is now’, going on to claim: “You’ll see next summer there’s going to be everyone walking around with them because it’s such a good idea.
“Sometimes you have to be the first one to do it and then the crowd will follow.”
While some people have remarked that an adult can get any tattoo that they want, others have argued it is ultimately a stupid idea.

People on TikTok are questioning whether Ana really did get this tan line tattoo (Anastanskovsky/TikTok)
One Twitter user said: “People are free to do what they want with their own bodies. Personally… I think it’s nuts.”
Another said: “Just when you thought people had found rock bottom, a new standard is discovered.”
A third added: “What on Earth? Why? Why? Why? No this should not be a trend.
“I’m sorry you’re feeling unsatisfied about your tan, but this goes too far.”
However, some have remained skeptical of the whole thing, arguing that its simply a stunt and tattoo aficionados have said there are clues it’s not real.
If this wasn’t enough to get you skeptical about the tan line video, it is important to note that in her most recent videos on TikTok, she doesn’t appear to have that same tat.
And while Ana hasn’t officially come out and insisted it was a stunt, she has done similar ‘fake tattoos’ in the past.
The influencer sparked massive arguments online after revealing that she was getting her boyfriend’s name, Kevin, tattooed on her forehead back in 2023.
Similar to her ‘tan lines tattoo’ idea she received quite a lot of push back.

Ana stunned her followers when she showed her ‘Kevin Tattoo’ (Anastanskovsky/TikTok)
At the time, one user said: “Ok ok this is to the young people that want to do some dumb tattoos without thinking about.”
Another said: “If they break up she’s going to have to get kevin the minion tattood on her face to cover it up.”
With a third chiming in: “Kevin better pack his bags and runnnnnnn.”
Well it surely wasn’t real, right? Yup, it wasn’t. In a follow-up video, she explained why she did the stunt and the somewhat thoughtful messaging behind it.
In the video, Ana rubbed off the Kevin ‘tattoo’ on her forehead and said she did it to help convince young people or those considering getting ink that they could eventually regret the decision.
She remarked that she regrets some of the real tattoos she has and didn’t heed the advice of friends and family who warned her that she could regret it in the future.
Having already sent the internet into meltdown over one fake tattoo in the past, it is conceivable it’s something she’d try and do again.

A TikTok claiming Disney is offering a $10,000,000 lifetime park pass has gone viral – but not everything is as it seems.
We know theme parks can be expensive, but for thrill-seekers, special passes are usually a worthy investment.
And one social media account has recently claimed that Disney is offering up its most expensive lifetime pass ever.

Disney World is known for not being a cheap experience (Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
Mouse Trap News said the ‘Unlimited Disney Pass’ lets four guests stay at any Disney World theme park on any day of the week ‘for your entire life’.
You can stay at any standard or pool-view hotel room on Disney World property ‘as long as there is availability’ while also giving guests access to all Club 33 locations – an exclusive, invite-only private members club found at four locations: Disney’s Anaheim, California park, Walt Disney World Florida, Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.
Mouse Trap News claims that this lifetime pass pays for itself after around 22 years – so it doesn’t exactly scream value for money, does it?
This is based on a family of four paying $1,200 on average for a day ticket.
The video – which you can watch above – has since been viewed some 4.3 million times on TikTok.
While many people have taken it seriously, Mouse Trap News is actually fake.
The outlet states in its TikTok bio: ‘Real Disney News That is 100% FAKE’ while its website explains it is the ‘world’s best satire and parody site, and authors of The Ultimate Guide to an Affordable Disney Trip, a best-seller.’
They add: “We write fake stories about Disney Parks stuff. From Disney Park announcements to Disney Hotel and resort news to made-up Disney partnerships, you can be assured that anything you read here is not true, real, or accurate, but it is fun.”

But with the likes of American Airlines launching $250,000 lifetime tickets – albeit in the 1980s – it’s understandable that some people would fall for the fake news.
Taking to the original video’s comments section, people were keen to debate what the fake pass offered.
One person pointed out: “‘As long as there’s availability’ seems weird. $10M should guarantee availability” as a second agreed: “For $10M they better make some availability no matter what.”
And a third person reckoned: “I would expect to own atleast half of Disneyland for 10M.”

No queue skip? (Mouse Trap News)
Others were furious that there were no queue-skip passes included either. Fair point, to be honest.
Good job it’s not real, then.
The park’s most expensive ticket is actually the Disney Incredi-Pass, coming in at $1,549 before taxes.
The annual pass grants access to all four theme parks – Magic Kingdom, Disney Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom – and includes park hopping, every day of the year, subject to reservation requirement.
You can also hold up to five parks pass reservations at a time, but must pay $99 extra for water park and sports options.

A US bridge which sees vehicles seemingly vanish into thin air has left social media users dumbfounded.
We see all sorts of random videos whenever we open up our phones.
From dancing pets to stunning biological simulations, we never know what we’re going to get.
But seeing a bunch of cars appear to drive into the ocean and disappear? That was not on my bingo card.
One viral video showing exactly that has been doing the rounds on X, formerly Twitter, recently.
Racking up millions of views, the video gives an aerial view of cars driving down a bridge in the middle of a body of water, before they vanish into seemingly thin air.
But what exactly is it?
What is the viral video really showing?

The bridge is located in Hampton Roads, Virginia, connecting the cities of Newport News and Suffolk (Wikimedia Maps/OpenStreetMap contributors)
No, the unusual video isn’t the work of AI.
Instead, it’s actually the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel, or MMMBT for short.
Located in Hampton Roads, Virginia, the 4.6 mile (7.4 km) structure connects the cities of Newport News and Suffolk, while impressively crossing three major rivers; the James, Nansemond and Elizabeth.
The entire structure includes 3.2 miles of twin trestle – two side-by-side elevated roadways – two artificial islands and a tunnel which, on its own, is 4,800 feet (1,500 m) long.
So no, sadly, the vehicles aren’t disappearing into some kind of magical portal, or into the depths of the sea. They’re heading into an underwater tunnel, creating a pretty cool optical illusion.
The MMMBT was erected 33 years ago, in April 1992, and cost around $400 million to build.
It’s named after the USS Monitor and CSS Virginia (formerly Merrimack), the first ironclad warships to face off in battle.
The Battle of Hampton Roads, from March 8 to 9, 1862, took place within a mile of the bridge-tunnel.

The illusion is actually just a tunnel (Getty Stock)
Why was the MMMBT created?
The MMMBT has helped with a number of issues, including traffic congestion and national security.
Its tunnel section allows large naval and commercial ships to pass overhead without obstruction – a crucial aspect when building a bridge on one of the busiest shipping lanes on the US east coast.
Engineers could’ve opted for a tall bridge instead, but that could have been dangerous for both the ships passing under and the fact it would be vulnerable to severe weather or attacks.
The area is home to major military installations, like Naval Station Norfolk, so having a tunnel instead of a large bridge reduces the vulnerability of key infrastructure to both those risks.
Then there’s use of trestles and artificial islands.
These helped engineers adapt to the region’s complex geography and water depths, what with it crossing three major rivers and all that!
What people have said about the viral video
Plenty of social media users were amazed by the video, with others asking people to explain what it was showing.
Others, however, knew what it was right away.
Responding to the video, one person wrote: “That is a tunnel. Welcome to your first day of elementary school,” as a second piped up: “That’s called a tunnel my friend.”
“Open the schools,” a third quipped.
Others were left in awe by the structure, as one person penned: “Appreciate engineers!”

Katelynn Ordone has broken her silence following the death of her child and taken to TikTok to address her family’s supporters.
Last week, police confirmed that Katelynn, Jaelan, and their son Preston were involved in a fatal car crash.
Preston, best known as viral TikTok star ‘Okay Baby’, tragically died in the ordeal, and his parents were left seriously injured.
Police explained that both parents had been taken to hospital and were being treated for their severe injuries, while noting that the two-year-old Preston had died as a result of his injuries.

Louisiana State Police said in a Facebook post: “The driver and front passenger, who were both properly restrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Preston, who was seated in the rear, but improperly restrained in a child safety seat, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.”
The statement the police released caused a stir, as they alleged that the child was not adequately strapped in to the backseat when their car veered off the road and hit a tree.
In a new video, Katelynn did not address this controversy, but thanked her supporters for asking about the family’s condition and offering kind words.
Speaking in the video, she said: “Hey guys, this is Katelynn, Preston’s mom and I just wanted to come on here and give ya’ll an update because I have been hearing about all the love and support that you have been giving.
“It means so much to us in a time like this.
“There is a little bit of a story I don’t even know how I am going to put this video together.”
The mother explained the condition of her husband, where she was now, that she had been discharged.
She also thanked all of her supporters for offering kind words as the family struggle to deal with the reality of the situation.

She continued: “I was discharged out of the hospital yesterday, my husband is still in the hospital so we are staying at an air bnb close to him so that we can see him.
“None of us really understand why or how this could happen but ya’ll support has made a big difference in all of this.
“I may not be able to watch everything, I may not be able to reply to every comment because it is really hard.
“I am still seeing some things and hearing how much ya’ll love him and it means a lot.”
In the wake of the urgent medical attention that they needed a GoFundMe page has been created to help them pay for it all.

A woman has issued a warning about DNA tests after her niece’s test revealed a disturbing family secret, resulting in her cutting off her mother.
You might be curious to know about your ancestral history, and with the help of easily accessible DNA tests that can be purchased online, more and more of us are finding some interesting facts about our genealogy.
However, a woman is now issuing a stark warning against them after what was meant to be a bit of harmless fun ended up wreaking havoc in her family.
The anonymous woman, who took to Reddit to share her harrowing ordeal, wrote: “I know that everyone is curious about their genealogy and it seems a harmless and could be useful in the case of genetic health issues test – but it’s also important to remember that DNA testing can unearth family secrets that it serves no one to unearth.”

The woman is urging others to think twice about the test (Getty Images)
In her case, it was her niece who ended up taking the 23andMe DNA test.
And when the test results came back, she was shocked (and presumably devastated) to learn the man she’d called dad her whole life was not her biological father.
Her auntie continued in the thread: “The mum was shocked although she had been having an affair, she had made made a conscious decision to end it because she wanted a stable family for her child.
“She had no idea that she was pregnant with the other person’s child. She was deeply in love with the man, but refused to break up the marriage over it.”
The truth was finally out after 45 years of secrecy, and the woman decided to try to contact her biological father soon after taking the test when tragedy struck again.

“The mum was in shock at first, but told the daughter that she would tell her anything she wanted to know and encouraged her to reach out to this man,” her auntie continued. “The father who raised her, who was a great dad, had passed 20 years before.
“Unfortunately, the bio-dad had become an alcoholic and died shortly after they connected.”
The whole fiasco apparently caused a serious rift between the woman and her mom, with her deciding to ‘cut the mother off’ and refusing to speak to her for the past five years.

The results caused a rift in the family (Getty Images)
“The mother is heartbroken, but understands her daughter’s anger and has said: ‘I have it coming… it’s my punishment.’ She is 73 now and this was her only child.”
In her warning, she urged others to think again before ordering the kit, as it could ‘create’ some family dramas, adding: “Running out and getting a DNA test and then sharing the news in it indiscriminately can backfire. – badly.”
“But maybe some secrets just need to be secrets. My sister will never be the same – she’s old and she’s now lost the people she loved the most through her own fault – as she says.
“The story above isn’t the only story I’ve heard of these tests shattering families. As I said, it’s one thing if it’s for a genetic/health reason that you need to understand a health history.
“But, I have to remind her that she’s human and humans make mistakes. At this point, it makes little difference.”
