She posted a softly lit photo showing three small children’s feet resting on a towel, subtly announcing the arrival of her daughter, Agnes, and son, Ocean. “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” she wrote in the caption.

She expressed overwhelming joy at completing the family she had long worked to build. Looking back on the birth of her first daughter, Oonagh, four years ago, she added, “I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!”

She emphasized the significance of choosing motherhood on her own terms after fertility struggles, calling it “the most humbling experience of my life.” She concluded her post by celebrating all mothers, “To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you.”

Followers responded quickly, and opinions varied. Some praised Heard, but others fixated on the names and visual details in the photo. One commenter questioned“Oh my word! Who calls a child Agnes in this day and age? Not too sure about the name Ocean either, the names are like chalk and cheese!”

Several users raised concerns about the image, focusing on the color of the babies’ feet. One wrote“I want to know why the babies [sic] feet are blue 😳 that’s concerning.” Another commented“why are the babies feet purple![sic]?!?!?”

A separate response pointed out something unusual about the appearance of one of the older child’s feet in the photo.

One person expressed surprise, wondering whether Heard had ever been visibly pregnant. Another reaction was critical, with someone implying pity for the children involved. Someone added“Prayers for those babies.”

In contrast, someone offered praise, describing Heard as a “great mom” and highlighting her daughter’s well-balanced behavior. Meanwhile, another individual congratulated Heard, interpreting the post as a heartfelt Mother’s Day moment and celebrating what they saw as a double dose of happiness.

This isn’t the first time Heard has announced a life milestone online. In July 2021, she introduced her firstborn in an Instagram post that reflected her views on motherhood and independence. “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she wrote at the time.

She called the birth of her daughter, Oonagh, “the beginning of the rest of my life” and emphasized the importance of normalizing parenthood outside traditional norms. “I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib,” she added.

Raising Oonagh, however, came during one of the most difficult periods of Heard’s life. In 2022, she was embroiled in a high-profile defamation trial brought by her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

The jury mostly sided with Depp, awarding him $10.35 million in damages, while Heard received $2 million for her countersuit. After the verdict, she called the decision a “setback” for women.

Heard was reportedly “still upset” by the decision but had turned her attention back to parenting. “The trial took away a lot of special mommy time,” one source said. “Amber is looking forward to a summer with her daughter and family.”

During the six-week trial, Heard also testified about the severe harassment she faced, including threats directed at her child. Fighting back tears, she told the court, “People want to kill me, and they tell me so every day. People want to put my baby in the microwave, and they tell me that.”

Despite intense public scrutiny and legal challenges, Heard focused on rebuilding her life. She relocated to Madrid, Spain, seeking a quieter and more private environment.

At the same time, she continued to pursue her acting career. In 2023, she appeared at the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily for the premiere of “In the Fire,” a historical drama where she portrayed a 19th-century American psychiatrist.

Director Conor Allyn revealed that she began filming shortly after her U.K. legal case concluded and wrapped production just before the U.S. trial began.

He praised her focus and professionalism, noting that she juggled long filming days with legal responsibilities. “She was incredibly tuned into what we were doing, rehearsing and all that stuff,” Allyn recalled.

In the same interview, Heard discussed the importance of staying focused on her work and separating it from the narratives created around her.

While she acknowledged being able to control what she says, she noted, “I’m not in control of stories other people create around me.” She admitted it was a difficult but necessary lesson, especially when promoting a project she feels proud of.

Heard expressed a desire to move forward and shift focus back to her work, making it clear she’s there to support her film, not to revisit past controversies. She reflected on her long-standing career, which began at 16, noting that while it may not be extraordinary, it’s something she built herself.

“I think I’ve earned respect for that to be its own thing. That’s substantial enough,” she remarked. “What I have been through, what I’ve lived through, doesn’t make my career at all. And it’s certainly not gonna stop my career.”
