Everything we know so far after ‘new Baba Vanga’ predicts catastrophic event as tourists cancel trips

Apparently tourism has taken a hit in Japan as a result of the worrying forecast for July

A woman that’s been dubbed as the ‘new Baba Vanga’ has bad news for people in Japan and anyone who had plans to travel there soon.

Ryo Tatsuki, a Japanese manga artist, is famous not only for her drawings but her accurate predictions about world events.

She’s believed to have predicted the death of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, as well as a biopic being made about the late singer’s life after his passing.

Tatsuki also accurately forecasted a devasting earthquake that hit Japan in 2011 that claimed the lives of thousands of people. In her famous book The Future I Saw, the artist said that there would be ‘catastrophe somewhere in Eastern Japan in March 2011’.

She also spoke of an ‘unknown virus’ — now thought to be in reference to coronavirus — that would come in 2020 and would peak in April of that year before returning again a decade later.

But there’s one particular prediction that’s set to happen soon that’s got people talking again of late…

What has Tatsuki predicted for July?

In a newer edition of her original 1996 book The Future I Saw which hit shelves in 2021, Tatsuki spoke of a ‘real catastrophe’ that would take place on July 5.

CNN reported that warned that she warned ‘a crack will open up under the seabed between Japan and the Philippines, sending ashore waves three times as tall as those from the Tohoku earthquake’.

It’s thought that a under volcanic eruption might also be on the horizon after Tatsuki mentioned ‘boiling’ sea water that could trigger a ‘mega tsunami’.

How has Tatsuki’s prediction impacted people’s travel plans?

In light of Tatsuki’s previously accurate predictions, people who had plans to travel to Japan around the time of the upcoming ‘catastrophe’ are erring on the side of caution and reportedly canceling their trips.

According to CN Yuen, managing director of WWPKG, a travel agency based in Hong Kong, bookings to Japan dropped by half during the Easter holiday.

It’s believed many of those who had planned to visit Japan and have since canceled were from mainland China and Hong Kong, but travellers from Thailand and Vietnam are seemingly reluctant to visit Japan in the near future now as well as a result of Tatsuki’s forecast being distributed on social media platforms.

Backing up the claims about reduced travel to Japan, airline company Greater Bay Airlines is said to have reduced its flights to three flights per week instead of four in the wake of the declining demand, The Mainichi reports. The reduced flights started on May 12 and will continue through to October.

The airline said that the speculation about the major distaster has contributed to the decline in tourism to Japan, in addition to Donald Trump’s tariff policies.

The Balkan Nostradamus has made a series of claims about what we could see next year

Ella Scott

Baba Vanga believed that 2025 would see Europe engulfed in war, a science fiction trope becoming reality and an F1 racer making history with Ferrari – looks like we’re in for a busy year, huh?

The Bulgarian woman, whose real name was Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, was known for her alleged clairvoyant abilities.

It’s widely reported that she predicted the death of Princess Diana and the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, among other things.

Before her death in August 1996, Vanga is said to have made predictions about what Earth dwellers can expect to experience in 2025.

Below we’ve outlined all of Baba Vanga’s wild predictions for next year.

Aliens will make contact with the Earth

The seer claims that next year, extraterrestrial life will make contact with the Earth during a major sporting event.

It hasn’t been stipulated which sport the aliens will be interrupting, but it could be anything from the Australian Open in January to the Super Bowl or even the Table Tennis World Championships in Doha.

I guess it’s hinges on what sport they fancy?

Escalated conflict in Europe

The continent of Europe is set to be engulfed by conflict in 2025, according to the psychic.

While the war between Ukraine and Russia is still going on, Baba Vanga predicted there would be further trouble in mainland Europe.

She allegedly stated it would erupt between two other countries, as per Sky History, and that it would ‘devastate’ the population.

Fortunately, quite a lot of the mystic’s reported predictions have been proven false in the past, so let us hope this is another.

Human organs will be synthetically grown

Scientists revealed earlier this year that a range of replica, mini versions of human organs and body parts had been successfully grown in a lab using stem cells.

But Baba Vaga believes medical advancement will come on leaps and bounds in 2025, making synthetically grown organs ready for transplants.

This could be a dramatic breakthrough for humans and potentially even extend our lifespans. But would you want to live forever?

Telepathy becomes more than a common science fiction theme

The term telepathy was coined by the classical scholar Frederic W. H. Myers back in 1882 with his book titled The Invention of Telepathy 1870-1900.

142 years later, telepathy – the act of mentally communicating with someone without uttering a word – remains elusive with no good evidence being published to prove it exists.

Right now, the transmission is just a popular science fiction trope, but according to Baba Vaga, it may not just be Professor X who can read and speak through his mind.

It’s said that in 2025, scientists will discover a new way to harness brainwaves and that mind-reading will become a real thing.

A new energy source will be unveiled

The diviner thinks that next year, experts will discover a mysterious new energy source.

Unfortunately, Baba Vanga didn’t specify exactly what kind of energy specialists would find or its whereabouts. Maybe it could end the energy crisis?

I guess we’ll just have to wait for that one.

Lewis Hamilton will win big in Formula One

One of the more outlandish predictions Baba Vanga has allegedly made for 2025 is that Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton will be back on top.

According to reports, the 39-year-old is set to win a record eighth world championship next year.

If he does win, it would be his first victory since 2020 and would see the star surpassing the iconic Michael Schumacher’s world championship tally.

The 2025 season begins in Australia in March and concludes in December in Abu Dhabi.

Every prediction Japan’s ‘Baba Vanga’ has got right amid warning on disaster set to happen in 3 months

Ryo Tatsuki says her visions come to her in her dreams – and have been pretty bang on over the years

Japan apparently has it’s own ‘Baba Vanga’ who has made some scarily accurate predictions over the years already – and warns a disaster is on the way this summer.

Baba Vanga, whose full name was Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, was a Bulgarian ‘seer’ who made some bang-on predictions in her lifetime.

The blind mystic apparently forecast the death of Princess Diana in 1997 and the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, amongst other eerie prophecies, before her death in August 1996.

However, it appears Japan is home to another clairvoyant with supernatural abilities to predict the future.

Ryo Tatsuki, a fortune teller and former manga artist, says she’s been managing to predict worldly events since the 1980s, as they come to her in vivid dreams.

The 70-year-old published a manga called The Future I Saw back in 1999, which documents some of her wildest dreams.

This included the 1995 Kobe earthquake and the tragic death of Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury, in 1991.

However, while the premonitions occurred before the book was published, it did also contain some other freaky predictions that came true, according to a Medium article about her.

For instance, as well as accurately predicting Mercury’s untimely death, she also penned in her diary that a movie would be made about this legacy in his memory – and Bohemian Rhapsody came out in 2018.

Tatsuki also allegedly warned about the great earthquake and its subsequent tsunami that struck the east coast of Japan in 2011 some 15 years prior.

She wrote there would be a ‘catastrophe somewhere in Eastern Japan in March 2011.’

And that’s not all, as she also apparently foretold the Covid-19 pandemic.

In her diary, she said an ‘unknown virus will come in 2020, will disappear after peaking in April and appear again 10 years later.’

Tatsuki actually apologized for her slightly off-the-mark prediction for the peak of the pandemic, though her prediction made 25 years prior saw her book gain significant attention.

Now, many are tuning in to her warnings, as she has another prediction that could see Japan suffer another monumental natural disaster as soon as July this year.

Tatsuki says the ocean is ‘boiling’ south of Japan which many have interpreted to mean an undersea volcanic eruption that would be powerful enough to trigger a ‘mega tsunami.’

As such, it could have a gigantic impact zone, enough to cause devastation over Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

She has also claimed to see ‘dragon-like shapes’ moving toward the area, though experts are urging caution as they say there is ‘no scientific basis for Tatsuki’s claims’, according to Times Now News.

If that’s not bad enough, she also says another earthquake could come to Kanagawa, followed by yet another tsunami that threatens to wipe out the coast, sometime between June and September next year.

Time to consider relocating, perhaps?

Baba Vanga and Nostradamus both made the same terrifying prediction for 2025

The two mystics have had their say on the year ahead

Nostradamus and Baba Vanga have both prophesied that a chilling event will take place in 2025—and it’s grim news for Europe.

When it comes to famous soothsayers, French astrologer Michel de Nostredame, better known as Nostradamus, and Bulgarian healer Baba Vanga – born Vangeliya Pandeva Surcheva – are often the first names that spring to mind.

Despite the pair being born 470 years apart, they have both predicted some of the biggest events to ever happen in modern history.

These include the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Chernobyl disaster, the Great Fire of London, and so many more.

Of course, many naysayers don’t take stock of Nostradamus and Vanga’s mysterious knack for foretelling the future – instead, they’ll put their predictions down to coincidences.

However, thousands of people are expected to ring in the new year by checking up on what the curious duo said would take place—and 2025 is no different.

If you dive deep into what both Nostradamus and Vanga have reportedly said, it turns out that both future tellers made similar prophecies involving conflict in Europe.

What did Nostradamus say would happen in 2025?

Despite dying more than 450 years ago, Nostradamus seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. Prior to his death in 1566, he penned a collection of 94 poetic statements and published them in his 1555 bookLes Prophéties.

Not only did he accurately predict that his friend and former monarch, King Henry II, would die at 40 at the hands of a ‘young lion’, but he also supposedly predicted Hitler’s 1930 rise to power and the assassination of JFK.

It turns out he also had a couple of predictions up his sleeve for 2025.

For this year, the physician claimed that an ‘ancient plague’ could descend upon Europe and that Britain would be ruined by conflict, writing: “When those from the lands of Europe, see England set up her throne behind, her flanks, there will be cruel wars. The ancient plague will be worse than enemies.”

A further line reads: “A great pestilence from the past returns, no enemy more deadly under the skies,” as per Metro.

Fans of the famed prophet also believe his lines ‘The Cock will see the Eagle, its wing poorly finished/by the Lion will it be put into extremity’ could have something to do with the English Premier League.

Sky History writes that Crystal Palace, whose nickname is the Eagles, could be taken advantage of by Tottenham Hotspur, whose crest features a cockerel.

Nostradamus also went on to predict that 2025 would see a ‘decrease in the influence of established Western countries’, with an ‘emergence of new world powers’ as soldiers become ‘exhausted’ by attritional warfare.

Born in 1911, Vanga lost her eyesight in childhood and later became famed for her plethora of prophetic visions.

Some of her most renowned predictions include the death of Diana, the Princess of Wales, and a number of extreme weather events that rocked the world in 2022.

Much like the French mystic, the Vanga has allegedly claimed that war would engulf Europe in 2025. She even went as far as to say: “Russia will not only survive, it will dominate the world.”

The mystic also said that a huge proportion of the continent would be ‘devastated’ by conflict.

Baba Vanga has also predicted that Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton will clinch an 8th World Championship during the 2025 motorsport season and that aliens will make contact with the planet during a major sporting event.

Outside the realm of athletic achievement, Vanga claims that major scientific advancement is on the horizon and that a powerful country would use a biological weapon in 2024.

Best keep your eyes peeled on whether the predictions of Nostradamus or Vanga come true.

Everything we know as student who went missing in Thailand is found and arrested more than 4,000 miles away

Bella Culley’s family reported the teenager as missing earlier this week

A British teenager’s backpacking trip has taken a turn for the worst after she was arrested in Georgia.

Bella Culley from Billingham, UK, was travelling around Thailand when her family reported her missing on Tuesday (May 13) after not having heard from her for a few days. Culley had been in the Philippines last month before arriving in Thailand on May 3.

Then, in an unexpected turn of events, Culley’s family learned that the 18-year-old had been arrested in Georgia over 4,000 miles away from her last known location in Thailand.

The teenager was taken into custody at Tbilisi International Airport. She reportedly had 12kg (26lbs) of marijuana and 2kg (4.4lbs) of hashish on her at the time, says BBC News, and has since been charged by Georgian police with illegally buying, possessing and importing large quantities of narcotics.

Who is Bella May Culley?

Culley is an 18-year-old student from County Durham, UK, who reportedly had hopes of studying nursing when she returned home from her travels, The Independent reports.

Her mother told Teesside Live that she had travelled to the Philippines with a friend before going to Thailand, while her friend went to Ibiza instead.

The teen is also reportedly pregnant and said so at the recent hearing of hers in Georgia, as per her state-appointed lawyer, Ia Todua.

Her lawyer continued in a statement: “This was her first time in court, and she was terrified and confused, kind of lost. Because of that, we decided to exercise the right to remain silent. In a few days, after we’ve had consultations and discussions, we’ll decide whether and how to adjust this position.

“New lawyers, private ones, both Georgian and British, will soon be involved and more details will be told.”

What’s next for Bella May Culley?

Apparently prosecutors have said that they need two months to gather evidence on Culley and the crimes she’s been accused of before the case is brought to trial.

Todua said: “They said that they had to conduct a lot of investigative activities, so that they can collect evidence, establish where it was from [the narcotics] and was she planning to hand it over to someone.

“That’s what they said they want to establish, and they also confiscated her phone.”

If found guilty, Culley could land herself life behind bars (20 years). She would be housed in Georgia’s only women’s prison, Prison No.5.

She is being preliminarily detained until July 1 while investigations are ongoing.

What have officials said?

As per The Independent, The Georgian interior ministry said in a statement: “B.K, born in 2006, is charged with illegally purchasing and storing a particularly large amount of narcotics, illegally purchasing and storing the narcotic drug marijuana, and illegally importing it into Georgia. The committed crime envisions up to 20 years – or life imprisonment.”

The British Foreign Office isn’t believed to have said much on the case other than that it is ‘supporting the family of a British woman who is detained in Georgia’.

Culley’s parents, Neil and Kerry Culley, arrived in Georgia on Wednesday (May 14), Mail Online reports, but they have been unable to see their daughter because of paperwork problems.
