People are saying limited ’11/10′ series was ‘so perfect’ they’re still waiting for season 2 years on

Fans are demanding that a second season get underway

A series that starred Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington has got fans confused as to why a second season never got under way.

TV shows often hope to form a dedicated and active fan base that is willing to tune in each week or binge a series in one sitting, but sometimes, this still isn’t enough.

In fact, a 2020 miniseries was so well received that fans are still demanding a second season.

While streaming platforms (looking at you Netflix) often greenlight shows and quickly cancel them, this happening to one particular show proved confusing for fans on social media.

Led by the star power of Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington many were sure that they would get more when the first season was over. And to top things off, the show was received by fans and critics alike.

The show is Little Fires Everywhere, that was based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Celeste Ng.

The series, which originally aired on Hulu, follows the story of how the picture-perfect Richardson family has their lives upended when they open it up to an enigmatic mother and daughter.

As well as this, the show explores the impacts of secrets, art identity and motherhood.

The show faired well on IMDB, receiving a rating of 7.7 out of 10 after almost 60,000 reviews and on Rotten Tomatoes, maintains an average tomatometer score of 79 percent and a slightly lower popcorn meter score of 61 percent.

The series got brought up on Twitter when users were asked to drop an ‘drop an 11/10 TV show’, and fans took it as a great chance to vent their annoyance.

One frustrated fan wrote: “Where the hell is season 2 it’s been years.”

While another said: “This limited series gave me LIFE during the pandemic… I need to do a rewatch to feel something…”

And a third wrote: “I just finished reading the book because I wanted a little rush again and i was like damn the miniseries knocked it out the park.”

With another adding: “I was mad they couldn’t just give us a season 2 idc if it was limited series.”

Another fan simply wrote: “The perfect series with an even more perfect title. Truly was.”

Hulu was also well aware of the show’s popularity as they stated that in its first 60 days online, Little Fires Everywhere was the most-watched drama ever on the streaming service.

While the streaming platform has never given a reason for not doing a season 2, it seemed that the mini-series was able to adequately capture and convey the conclusion of the story from the book.

An ‘intriguing’ Netflix series you can watch in one night has been dubbed a ’10/10′ watch.

If you’ve been ‘left with a headache’ by Tom Hardy’s latest release on Netflix, then fear not, because there’s a limited series bound to take your mind off it.

Created by Stephen Belber for Netflix with V. J. Boyd also acting as a showrunner, the series stars the likes of Colman Domingo (The Color Purple), Marsha Stephanie Blake (When They See Us) and Gabrielle Graham (The Expanse).

Comprising of one season – so far – its eight episodes center around CNN media pundit Muncie Daniels (Domingo) who stumbles upon a body in the woods in Pennsylvania and well, the madness only descends from there.

The first season came out on November 28, 2024, but it hasn’t taken long for viewers to flood to social media to weigh in on the series.

Prepare to cancel your plans this evening:

The thriller – aptly titled The Madness – was shared onto LADbible Facebook Group Netflix Bangers with a user asking others how they’d rate it.

One Facebook user said: “Just watched Madness 10/10 awesome no skip full feel… Highly recommended.”

Another added: “I am watching this right now. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.”

A third wrote: “It’s definitely a slow burner but binge worthy.”

While a fourth echoed: “Binged watched this today, absolutely brilliant.”

And a fifth commented: “I was at the edge of my seat and binge watched all of it. I highly recommend it!”

But will there be a second season?

In conversation with Deadline about his future as an actor and the series, Domingo noted he’s ‘very conscious’ about ‘making a difference’ and ‘doing things that matter in the world’.

“I can see the lines of my work very clearly, because I’m very conscious of it. I’m not just gonna take the next thing that’s gonna bring me a lot of access and money or platform,” he added.

And while nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, when asked about the potential of a second season Domingo said“Listen, I don’t really say this a lot about any show because I like going from moment to moment and having great moments in a show and moving on with my life and doing something else.

“This show, I think there’s more from Muncie. I would really love to engage with a Season 2, so we’ll see if people think he’s got more story in him as well, so I hope people watch.”

People have already finished an entire season of a series that was only released on Thursday (November 21).

If you’re looking for a new show to watch, then look no further than Netflix as the streaming giant has just introduced a hit crime comedy that has received glowing reviews from almost everyone who has watched it.

“The series just kind of drifts along amiably, counting that you’d rather soak in its hot bath than risk changing the channel and catching a chill,” says Sam Adams, a top film critic from Slate magazine.

Yes, what he’s getting at is that it’s an easy watch and that’s clearly what the experts over at IMDb think as they’ve rated it a 7.7 out of 10 – a monster score for any comedy, film or TV.

So, what’s this new and funny crime series called? A Man on the Inside.

All you need to do is watch the trailer and you’ll be hooked.

The synopsis reads: “A retired widow named Charles, played by Ted Danson, is encouraged to find something that he enjoys and he happens upon a job as an assistant to a private investigator and it gives him a new lease on life as he moves in to a care home as a mole trying to find a jewel thief.”

One Facebook user took to the group Netflix Bangers to ask for people’s thoughts on the witty and quirky sitcom.

One user replied: “I am so pleased to find a show that is actually worth watching again. I was starting to despair!! I am enjoying it !!”

Another commented: “Loves it binged it all last night.”

A third wrote: “Very good . A must watch.”

While someone else simply replied it was ’10/10′.

If the public’s high opinion on the show isn’t enough to sway you, then I know what might. Unlike other shows, where the ending kind of fizzles out and is reflected in a poor IMDb rating of the final episode, for A Man on the Inside it is the opposite.

The glowing reviews kept on coming as one person wrote on the social media platform: “I enjoyed it and can’t wait for season 2.”

A second typed: “Loved it, easy watch and fun, hopefully not too long for next season.”

While others were in awe of Danson’s acting.

Another person said: “Anything I’ve seen him in had been great so I’m going to assume this will be too.”

“He’s magnetic everything he’s ever done has been… MAGIC,” another added.

Netflix subscribers still can’t get enough of a ‘haunting’ mini-series with a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.

The streaming platform is jam-packed with top-rated thrillers, like one 2018 movie Stephen King says is a ‘genuine nail-biter‘.

Yet with thousands of titles on the site, chances are you’ve missed out on some hidden gems.

Cue this ‘excellent’ six-episode TV series, which critics say should be ‘devoured in one sitting’.

One to add to your nightly binge-watch list…

Set in 19th century Canada, the series centers around Grace Marks (11.22.63’s Sarah Gadon), an Irish immigrant working as a servant for wealthy farmer, Thomas Kinnear (Paul Gross).

When Thomas and his housekeeper Nancy Montgomery (Anna Paquin) wind up dead, the finger is immediately pointed at Grace.

She’s convicted for their murders, and in comes psychiatrist Dr Simon Jordan (Kingman’s Edward Holcroft) to evaluate her mental health.

But things take a terrifying turn when Grace opens up about her late friend and fellow servant Mary Whitney (Rebecca Liddiard) – proving not everything is as it seems.

Fans have been particularly thrilled by the series’ ‘unexpected’ twists – which we won’t go spoiling here, of course.

The series in question is called Alias Grace.

Having debuted on CBC in September 2017, the six-parter was added to Netflix a few weeks later, on November 3, 2017.

To this day, subscribers are still just discovering Alias Grace – and they say they can’t get enough.

The period drama is based on Margaret Atwood’s 1996 novel of the same name, which fictionalizes the real-life murders of Kinnear and Montgomery in West Canada.

Over on Rotten Tomatoes, critics have awarded the six-parter a near-perfect score of 99 percent.

El Pais’ Natalia Marcos wrote: “The series, whose duration invites to be devoured in one sitting, plays with the unreliable narrator to keep the viewer constantly alert and reconfiguring the puzzle of the story as presented by the protagonist.”

Gadon’s portrayal of Grace was also praised, as The Guardian’s Lucy Mangan reckoned: “As powerful and subtle a performance from Sarah Gadon as Grace as you could wish. Blessed be this Atwoodian fruit too.”

Fans, too, spoke highly of the series, with one hailing the drama ‘amazing in so many ways’.

Sharing their thoughts on the review aggregator site, they continued: “The overall atmosphere is a mix of psychological, horror and elegant aspects, not to forget the warming opening theme, class dialogue, complex storytelling and top camera work.”

A second penned: “Wonderfully made. I was shocked by the twist.”

While a third wrote: “Haunting story with excellent performances. A great series to binge on a stormy day.”

A fourth fan said: “My only complaint is that there are only six episodes!”

Netflix fans are still binge-watching a ‘mind-warping’ TV series with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, hailed a ‘must watch’.

Of course, the streamer is packed full of incredible TV shows and movies, although sometimes it can be a little overwhelming to choose what to watch next.

One show had fans staying up until 2am watching, while others are obsessed with a ‘dark and disturbing’ mini-series which debuted last year.

But seven years after its conclusion, fans are still raving about this ’10/10′ sci-fi, which has been praised for its gripping storylines and ‘gorgeous’ visuals.

And even if you’re not usually into the genre, it’s worth giving this one a shot, as one viewer who was never a sci-fi fan claims they ‘couldn’t stop watching’ the three-season series.

The show’s first season debuted on Netflix in 2016 and was co-produced by the streamer and Canadian specialty channel Showcase.

Its cast features a host of famous faces and is lead by Eric McCormack, best known for portraying Will Truman in NBC’s Will & Grace.

The Penguin’s Jared Abrahamson, See‘s Nesta Cooper and country singer MacKenzie Porter also feature.

Set hundreds of years in the future, Travelers follows the last surviving humans who discover a way to send consciousness back through time, directly into people living in the 21st century.

These ‘travelers’ assume the lives of seemingly random people, but they’re also secretly working as teams to perform missions in order to save humanity from a ‘terrible future’, the show’s synopsis reads.

The rag-tag team – who include an FBI agent, a single mom and a college student – are helped only by their knowledge of history and an archive of social media accounts.

They soon realize that 21st century relationships are as much of a challenge as their high-stakes missions.

Traveler’s third and final season may have concluded in 2018, but people are still only just discovering the top-rated show today.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “What a show! Wrapped up season three and the end just warped my mind. It is sooooo good. A must watch on Netflix.”

A second admitted: “I’m currently binge watching Travelers on Netflix. Can’t stop. I’m usually not into anything sci-fi related, but this series is so good.”

A third weighed in: “Just rewatched all three amazing seasons of Travelers… [I was] blown away the first time I watched it six years ago. Now its more relevant than ever! Top-tier writing, characters, and acting! I miss it already.”

Critics over on Rotten Tomatoes awarded the series a perfect 100 percent score overall, while audience members almost matched them with an impressive 97 percent rating.

Globe and Mail’s John Doyle hailed the series ‘gorgeously made and menacing in tone from the get-go’, while IndieWire’s Hanh Nguyen said: “It contains just enough intrigue for continuous viewing, but is light enough to not over-tax one’s spirits.”

All three seasons of Travelers are available to stream now on Netflix.
