The teenage daughter of Angelia Jolie and Brad Pitt has debuted a new name in an apparent attempt to distance herself from her father.
Shiloh Jolie made a rare appearance at a Los Angeles event at the iconic Oliver House last week, where the 19-year-old choreographed a dance piece.
The private dinner, which invited some of Hollywood’s VIPS such as fashion stars, actors and models to celebrate Isabel Marant’s new capsule collection with Net-A-Porter, saw the teen deliver a standout show.
Shiloh, who was there as a guest and for talent, choreographed a dance routine under her new name, with dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki delivering the show-stopping performance for singer-songwriter Luella’s live performance of her new single ‘Naïve’.
‘Brangelina,’ who split in 2016 and had a messy divorce battle up until 2024, welcomed Shiloh Nouvel Jolie Pitt on May 27, 2006.

The Mr & Mrs Smith stars, who met on the set of the 2004 movie, share six children together including their three biological children, Shiloh and twins, Knox and Vivienne.
Shiloh is the former couple’s first biological child, having joined the family with adopted siblings Maddox and and Zahara before they went on to adopt Pax and birth the twins.
However, the youngster has revealed she is now going by the name Shi in what appears an apparent snub to her father, though it is unclear if this will be her stage name.
After turning 18, the star filed to drop her dad’s last name from her own after becoming somewhat estranged from Pitt, filing for the name change on her 18th birthday TMZ reported at the time.

The pair haven’t been seen out in public together since 2014, reports Hello Magazine.
Pitt and Jolie’s lengthy divorce battle was far from amicable, with Jolie alleging domestic abuse against her ex husband in recent years.
The accusations – which Pitt has always denied – are believed to have cause him to become estranged from their children.
According to reports, the 61-year-old actor was ‘aware’ of Shiloh’s submission, as a source told PEOPLE: “He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter.
“The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

Another source also told the publication that the Bullet Train star ‘still loves all of his kids tremendously’, adding: “This whole process has been very hard for the whole family.”
However, Shiloh’s attorney slammed any suggestion that the teen made the name change as a public statement.
Peter Levine said, as per PEOPLE: “Shiloh Jolie did not take out an ‘ad’ announcing any name change, and any press reporting that is inaccurate.
“As Shiloh’s attorney, I am required to publish a legal notice because the law in California requires that of anyone who wants to change their name. That legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as is required.”

The news comes as Pitt and Jolie’s daughter Vivienne also seemed to drop Pitt from her name.
The 16-year-old had helped her mom produce the new musical, The Outsiders and, as per PEOPLE, the former couple’s daughter was listed as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill.
The Hollywood stars’ eldest daughter Zahara also introduced herself as ‘Zahara Marley Jolie’ in a video shared by Essence in November 2023.

Angelina Jolie criticizes ‘liars’ in a new interview as her divorce from Brad Pitt reaches its end after a lengthy eight-year legal battle.
The former couple first met on the film set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2003 before becoming official in 2005.
Jolie and Pitt have six children together and, in 2014, the couple got married after being in a relationship for almost a decade.
However, in 2016, the Wanted actor filed for divorce from the Fight Club star, 61, citing irreconcilable differences.
After an eight years in court, the exes officially signed off on their divorce on Monday (December 30) and reached a settlement.

Jolie’s divorce attorney, James Simon, said in a statement (via Sky News) that Jolie was ‘exhausted’ by the situation, adding: “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt.
“She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago.
“Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
No court documents have been filed and a judge will have to sign off on the agreement, Sky News also reported.
In 2024, Jolie made her return to acting with her film, Maria, where she portrays opera singer, Maria Callas, which made it’s debut at the Venice International Film Festival before being released in cinemas later that year to critical acclaim.
Following it’s release, the 49-year-old opened up in her cover story for W Magazine, where she described ‘liars’ as being one of her biggest ‘pet peeves’.

Without going into specifics, the Oscar winner said: “My pet peeve is somebody who is a liar. Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel.
“There’s a big version of that – and I’m not trying to be heavy about it – but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren’t completely who they are.
“I think a lot of people don’t say what they mean.”
While the two have settled their divorce proceedings, they are still embroiled in a row over their shared $25 million winery business in the south of France.
In 2022, Pitt claimed Jolie had broken ‘contractural rights’ by selling her half of Château Miraval without his knowledge to a Russian oligarch, the BBC reported at the time.
Countering the claim, Jolie claimed that she had attempted to discuss the sale with Pitt, but that he allegedly wanted her to ‘sign a nondisclosure agreement’.
Her countersue also accused Pitt of ‘waging a vindictive war’ against Jolie, PEOPLE reported.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son Pax has been released from hospital following a horrific bike crash, but there is a ‘long road of recovery’ ahead, an insider has revealed.
Last week Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt was involved in a horror crash while riding his electric motorcycle in Los Angeles.
Adopted son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Pax, was reportedly riding his electric bike without a helmet and crashed into the back of a car, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Pax had been driving down Los Feliz Boulevard at about 5pm local time on July 29.
The Los Angeles Times reports the incident occurred at the intersection of Los Feliz boulevard and Hobart Boulevard, and the car was ‘completely stopped’ at the lights at the time, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told the outlet.

This would have been a busy street during rush hour traffic and the driver of the car is said to have got out to check on Pax following the collision.
Following the crash, the 20-year-old was rushed to the hospital.
Pax has now been released from the hospital ICU, however his road to recovery is expected to be difficult.
A source spoke to People magazine and detailed his condition, as well as his family’s response to the crash.
“Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy,” the source said.
The source also said that Pax’s mother Jolie was by his side while he was in hospital.
They added she is ‘deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders, and the outstanding medical care he received’.

As well as Pax’s mother, his siblings have also been ‘visiting and helping’ as they are ‘all very close,’ according to the source.
Witnesses of the crash have said that the incident appeared so severe that they thought Pax had died.
Witnesses of the incident told TMZ they saw Pax lying on the ground and that he was briefly unconscious during the incident, leading some to believe the crash may’ve been fatal.
Thankfully, paramedics arrived and Pax reportedly woke up. He was in a more stable condition upon being transferred to hospital, despite initial fears of a brain bleed.

A love triangle somewhat appeared when Pitt and Aniston were four years into their marriage
Before the whole ‘Brangelina’ saga, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had tied the knot and were Hollywood’s ultimate golden couple.
After a total of seven years together, the Friends star and Fight Club‘s main man announced that they were splitting in January 2005, having married in July 2000, with the divorce being complete by the end of March 2005.
Their statement read: “We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media.
“This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration. We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another.”

It came around the same time Mr. & Mrs. Smith was being shot, with it released in cinemas throughout the US and further afield in June 2005.
Of course, Pitt starred as John Smith while Angelina Jolie played Jane Smith, and according to Courteney Cox, Aniston’s co-star on Friends, Pitt made an honest confession to Aniston at the time.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Cox said: “I don’t think he started an affair physically, but I think he was attracted to her.
“There was a connection, and he was honest about that with Jen. Most of the time, when people are attracted to other people, they don’t tell.
“At least he was honest about it. It was an attraction that he fought for a period of time.”

Aniston had reportedly been going through a difficult time after Friends finished it’s ten season run in 2004, and according to insiders, Pitt – who busy filming with Jolie – ‘just wasn’t there for her’.
An insider told PEOPLE magazine at the time: “They gradually lost sight of themselves as individuals. And despite their nice lifestyle and having everything they might want, they weren’t happy. They lost a sense of self.”
Of course, Pitt and Jolie went on to start a relationship shortly after the split, going on to get married in 2014. But they filed for divorce just two years later.
Amid the rumor mill, many saw Aniston as the wronged party and pitted her against Jolie.

When stories of Pitt and Jolie’s relationship emerged, Aniston generally avoided speaking too much on the tabloid drama.
However, in 2015, ten years after her divorce, the actor publicly discussed the ‘rivalry’ that the press had created between her and Jolie.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Aniston said: “I think it’s time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness.
“I think that’s slowly coming to an end. I really do. It’s just tiresome and old. It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes.”

The chapter on Hollywood’s favorite ‘It’ couple is officially coming to an end
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally come to a divorce settlement after an lengthy eight year battle.
Jolie and Pitt met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2003 before starting a romantic relationship in 2005. The former couple have six children, three sons and three daughters, and in 2014, Pitt and Jolie tied the knot.
However, a couple of years later, the Tomb Raider star filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
A statement from the actors also revealed that they would be handling the proceedings privately, PEOPLE reported in 2017.

During their divorce proceedings, it was revealed in court documents that the Girl, Interrupted star, had claimed she was attacked by her then husband, with one of their children also allegedly being assaulted on a plane on September 14, 2016, an accusation which Pitt has denied.
The FBI also investigated the accusation and Pitt was not charged with anything. And now, the two have reached a settlement agreement.

The former couple are also locking heads over their shared $25 million winery business in the south of France as the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star alleged in 2022 that Jolie had broken ‘contractural rights’ by selling her share of Château Miraval without his knowledge to a Russian oligarch, the BBC reported at the time.
According to court filings and Pitt’s lawyers, the one euro payment was also allegedly never made upon ownership transfer.
Jolie’s former company, Nouvel, then claimed in a countersue that she had attempted to discuss the sale with Pitt, but he allegedly wanted her to ‘sign a nondisclosure agreement’ about him.
Her countersue also accused Pitt of ‘waging a vindictive war’ against Jolie, PEOPLE reports.
It is unclear how the divorce settlement will impact this lawsuit, CBS News says.
