Person who ‘died for six minutes’ describes heaven and explains why it ‘isn’t what we think it is’

A man whose heart stopped for six minutes said: “I learned things about our universe that I wish I hadn’t”

A person who claims to have ‘died for six minutes’ has taken to Reddit to describe what heaven is really like and why people’s general idea of it may be way off the mark.

While it’s certainly not a nice topic, a lot of intrigue remains surrounding what happens in the afterlife and when ‘you die’.

Well, a person who claims to have died for a period of six minutes has detailed what exactly they witnessed and how they saw heaven during that time.

Back in 2003, the then 15-year-old’s heart stopped for a period of six minutes after health complications, and what happened during this time is truly incredible.

‘I was dead, technically’

The anonymous Redditor took to the ‘no sleep’ forum on the popular social media platform to explain how they basically died for a period of six minutes.

They explained how it ‘came on suddenly’, as the Redditor recalled: “I became breathless and collapsed. What happened next has been told to me after the fact.

“I apparently sprawled in the road, where a woman driving a hatchback nearly crushed my skull beneath her tyres. Instead, she screeched to a halt, tried to rouse me, then dialled emergency services when she failed to do so.”

They added: “EMS arrived to discover my heart had stopped beating. I was dead, technically.

“They transported my body to the hospital, and somewhere along the way managed to shock my ticker back to life.

“Thus began a harrowing weeks-long journey through the American healthcare system that led eventually to an ablation, pacemaker, and mountains of debt my family’s still dealing with.”

‘Never thank God for anything’

Thankfully, the Redditor is said to be in good health nowadays, and they said how their experience of that day has made them to ‘never to thank God for anything’.

Sharing their story, the individual added: “Because for those six minutes, as my lifeless body traveled across the city accompanied by two paramedics working tirelessly to revive me, my soul transcended our world to visit the hereafter. During my visit, I learned things about our universe that I wish I hadn’t.

“Perhaps in sharing my story, I might help our species prepare for what comes after we expire.”

Six minutes in ‘heaven’

While six minutes is certainly not a long period of time, the Redditor explained how it felt like a ‘lifetime’.

They spent the time ‘amusing what I perceived to be a childlike spirit with a penchant for psychologically distressing manipulation’.

The anonymous individual added: “It batted me around like a cat with a caught mouse, revelling in the pain it produced.

“Physical discomforts we imagine hell inflicting upon us pale in comparison to the torture of soul pain. Loss of a loved one comes closest, that piercing, emotional damage resulting from trauma.

“When it became clear my time had not yet expired on Earth and I was to return, I was told not to reveal their existence to the rest of my kind.

“My reward, they communicated to me, would be a marginally improved station among the slave population. Alternatively, if I managed to convince others of their existence, new horrors would await me when I returned.”

The trauma of coming back to life

The person’s time was not as expected in heaven, but it was traumatic for the individual coming back to normal life.

“For weeks, I tried to explain to anyone who would listen what I experienced,” the person explained.

“Everyone told me I’d suffered a very serious and traumatic experience for a young man, that the event left scars on my psyche as well as my heart.”

Man who died for 45 minutes before ‘coming back to life’ explains exactly what he saw

Former bodybuilder Vincent Tolman had fallen into a coma after consuming a ‘toxic’ supplement that he and a friend bought online

A man who was dead for up to 45 minutes before being resuscitated has detailed what he saw in the ‘afterlife’.

More than two decades ago, former bodybuilder Vincent Tolman claims to have witnessed heaven when he fell into a coma after taking supplements that he and a friend had purchased online.

He fell unconscious on January 18, 2003, and subsequently went into a weird state where he could see himself lying on the ground.

Recounting the traumatic, but powerful, near-death experience, Tolman said: “So they think I was dead for at least 30 to 45 minutes before they found me, but I was cold, like cold to the touch.

“Back in the day, I was an amateur bodybuilder, I was taking a fairly new supplement. Turns out, the supplement was toxic, and I ended up aspirating in a public bathroom.

“So I had passed out and started to vomit, and I aspirate on that vomit and and I ended up dying right there on the bathroom floor.”

Suddenly, Tolman explained how he was transported to a ‘very comfortable movie chair’ and that he was watching his death unfold from the comfort of what he believed was a theater.

He continued: “The movie was the scene of this body on the ground, and I was looking at everything from above. But what’s weird is it didn’t feel like it was me at all – even though I was sitting there looking at my own dead body, I couldn’t recognize it.

“It would almost be like going to a movie, like a real movie, and seeing someone dressed like you and looking like you on the movie, but you’re like, that’s not me, because he’s over here watching the movie – that’s what it felt like.

“So I had no idea that what I was watching was my own death.”

The detachment was so strong that he questioned the ‘director’s’ decisions in what was included in the ‘movie’ – explaining how he had a background in film and TV, critiquing why the production included the thoughts of everyone in the restaurant, including the cook.

This telepathic awareness struck him as overdone, strange, and lacking artistic intent, reinforcing the surreal, movie-like quality of the experience.

Tolman then claims to have witnessed the medics bag his body, and he could hear one of the paramedics thinking to himself in the back of the ambulance.

“And as he was doing that, I actually saw light, a real light, start glowing from inside this rookie medic,” he shared.

“And it felt as if like someone put a light bulb inside his shirt, like light was actually coming out from his heart space

and out of nowhere, this really strong voice says, this one’s not dead.”

Motivated by this overwhelming sense, the medic broke protocol, unzipped the body bag, and began checking for signs of life. Though he found no pulse, he felt a spark near the Tolman’s inner thigh – just enough to justify attempting resuscitation.

As the body was transferred to the hospital, Tolman began to feel the straps being secured on his arms. Still in this strange observer state, he was confused by the sensation of being physically restrained.

Tolman explained that was the moment it dawned on him – that the ‘movie’ featured his body.

Jenna Ortega explains why she was a very ‘unhappy person’ following Wednesday fame

Ortega is best known for starring in the Netflix series alongside the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Christina Ricci

Jenna Ortega has made a candid admission about how she felt after finding global fame following the success of Wednesday.

Wednesday, a spin off from cult classic The Addams Family, debuted on Netflix in November 2022 and it wasn’t long until it became one of the streamer’s most successful series.

Ortega stars as the lead of Wednesday Addams in the show and her portrayal of the moody, melancholy schoolgirl and will return to our screens as Wednesday later this year for the first part of the second season.

While Ortega already had a handful of credits to her name before starring in Wednesday (such as YouThe Fall Out, and Jane the Virgin, as well as her numerous Disney projects), it was the Netflix show that really propelled her into the spotlight.

But the fame has come with its downsides, with Ortega recently admitting that it made her ‘unhappy’.

She shared with Harper’s Bazaar: “To be quite frank, after the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person. After the pressure, the attention — as somebody who’s quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary.”

As well as being shot into the public eye, there were aspects of her Wednesday role itself which seemed to get under Ortega’s skin.

She said: “I’m doing a show I’m going to be doing for years where I play a schoolgirl. But I’m also a young woman.

“You just don’t feel like you’re being taken seriously. You know, it’s like how you’re dressed in the schoolgirl costume. There’s just something about it that’s very patronizing.”

Her newfound fame came a lot of scrutiny, said the 22-year-old, particularly on social media.

“I feel like being a bully is very popular right now,” Ortega said. “Having been on the wrong side of the rumor mill was incredibly eye-opening.”

There was speculation in recent months that the Death of a Unicorn actress was dating Johnny Depp, who is nearly 40 years her senior.

Responding to this at the time, Ortega insisted that she didn’t know Depp and hailed the rumor as one of the craziest things she’d heard about herself.

“Articles really do just make up their own quotes, but I thought that that was pretty hilarious,” Ortega said to BuzzFeed.

“I was on set with [co-star] Richard E. Grant and he came up to me and he just said ‘Oh so you and Johnny,’ and I laughed because I don’t know that person,” the actress added.

Elsewhere, a video of Ortega smoking went viral last year — which her own mom went on to respond to.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Natalie Ortega posted a series of pictures about the negative impact smoking has on your health.

She concluded her flurry of posts with one that read: “A mother is always a mother. She never stops worrying about her children, even when they are all grown up and have children of their own.”

Man who ‘died three times and went to heaven’ recalled meeting his dad there

Landon Kemp also saw other figures during his time in ‘heaven’

The experience of dying is something most of us only go through once – for obvious reasons – but one man has spoken out after he died and came back to life three times.

By the age of eight, most children haven’t experienced anything much scarier than creepy Halloween costumes or jumpy moments in kids’ movies.

But Landon Kemp, from Charlotte, North Carolina, lived through something much more terrifying at the young age when the car he was traveling in crashed into an ambulance.

The incident took place on October 19, 1997, when Landon was on the way back from church with his parents, Andy and Julie.

The horrific crash sadly proved fatal for Andy, and it initially looked like it would mark the end of Landon’s life, as well.

The eight-year-old had to be resuscitated at the scene, after which he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Landon had to be resuscitated once again during the journey, and a third time at the hospital.

Though he was only young at the time, what Landon experienced during that time has stuck with him.

In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Julie recalled telling Landon about his father’s death shortly after the accident.

She recalled: “I didn’t want to hurt him anymore. So I asked him, ‘Landon, do you know where your Dad is at?'”

When Landon responded, he made a revelation that indicated the existence of an afterlife – one where he was able to see his father.

Julie continued: “And he told me, ‘Yes I know where he’s at – I saw him in heaven’.”

Looking back, Landon believes he visited heaven each time he died, before being brought back to life.

He told the Christian Broadcasting Network: “I remember being able to see my dad and his friend Olan Palmer who had passed away less than a month before he did, also in a car accident.

“And Olan’s son, Neal Palmer, who had died on a four-wheeler years before.”

Sharing further details of his time apparently spent in heaven, Landon said ‘no one spoke’, but that he could see everyone standing around until he was revived.

He also claimed to have seen other dead people while there, including his two unborn siblings who his mother had lost during miscarriages.

“I knew that they were my siblings even though no one had ever told me about them,” Landon said.

He also saw a figure he believes to be Jesus Christ, who ‘instructed him to return to Earth to ‘be a good Christian and tell others about him”.

Woman who was clinically dead for 15 minutes vividly describes what she saw in heaven

Dr Lynda Cramer experienced ‘heaven’ when she was pronounced medically dead in 2001

A woman who was pronounced ‘clinically dead’ for nearly a quarter of an hour has offered rare insight into the things she remembers seeing when life as she knew it momentarily stopped.

There are all sorts of theories and images trying to guess at what an ‘after-life’ might look like.

Some people think it doesn’t exist, others imagine it as a place filled with loved ones, and some imagine pearly gates and lots of clouds.

We won’t actually know for sure until we reach the end of our lives – but Dr Lynda Cramer had the rare opportunity to experience that and come back to tell the tale.

It was May 6, 2001, when Cramer went to the toilet in the early hours of the day, and felt like she was drifting off to sleep.

In reality, Cramer was having a medical emergency, and by the time medics arrived, they actually pronounced her medically dead for 14 minutes.

Cramer’s reality didn’t turn to nothingness in this time, however. Instead, she described being able to see the paramedics come into her home to help her earthly body, while she watched from above.

She also remembered visiting heaven; a world where time apparently doesn’t behave the same way as it does down here on Earth.

Instead, Cramer said she would estimate the passage of time depending on how far she had travelled through the new world she found herself in.

In the space she believed to be heaven, Cramer said she could assume any form she wanted – even other people she met there. The area was filled with striking individuals and stunning sights, she said.

In an interview on the NDE Diary YouTube channel, she explained: “That’s when I found myself standing in what I termed the the field of flowers. I was observing the mountain range 30,000 times huger than Mount Everest.

“There’s a huge mountain range over in the back of wherever I was. I could see buildings with skyscrapers. Dubai are like little miniature huts in comparison. I saw lakes, I could see everything in a panoramic view.”

“So I’m there interacting with people, talking to people, becoming them.”

Cramer also described how if she wanted to be somewhere, all she had to do was think it.

By doing so, the doctor felt instantly transported to that place, regardless of whether it was the top of a mountain range or some other, typically hard-to-reach location.
