Donald Trump was celebrating his 79th birthday on the same day as the 250th anniversary of the US Army parade

Donald Trump celebrated his birthday as he hosted a $45 million military parade for the 250th anniversary of the US Army, but people are noticing one detail, and they’re not happy.

Hundreds of thousands of people turned up to watch the troops march below as they cheered and saw tanks, celebratory banners and flags everywhere.

However, while the celebration was in full swing, people could only notice on thing.

It was Donald Trump‘s 79th birthday on Saturday (June 14) and what better way to spend it than to be in Washington, DC?

Trump walked out to ‘Hail to the Chief’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ alongside First Lady Melania Trump, his family, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth among other officials, and all seemed to be going well.

The military began the parade, with tanks and aircrafts and parachuters falling from the the sky as over 6,000 uniformed soldiers patrolled through the capitol.

What a sight! It would be so exciting to watch that you surely wouldn’t be able to do anything else except watch everything in amazement…right?

Wrong.

When cameras were pointed on the president, it seemed to show him growing weary of the display before him.

In fact, it appeared as though he was fighting off a nap (unsuccessfully).

The prez was sat beside his wife, when he began to dip his head every now and then, with his eyes fully closed.

Sometimes, it was for a prolonged period of time, leading to some who saw the clip online to bash him.

One person wrote: “General Fatten orders a gazillion $ military parade and then falls asleep during it. Don Snorleone strikes again!”

Another scathed: “Time to relieve him of the office. He is too old.”

Someone else wrote: “He wasted tax dollars for a parade that he ended up finding absolutely boring and was forced to stay for the whole thing. Amazing.”

So, many people were not too pleased with Trump allegedly snoozing during the event.

The historic parade saw the president address the crowd and military personnel at the end of the parade in an eight-minute-long speech, saying in part: “Every other country celebrates their victories. It’s about time America did too.

“We’re the hottest country in the world right now,” he continued. “If you threaten the American people, our soldiers are coming for you.”

However, even though it was claimed that 250,000 people attended, pictures of said attendees and of the parade prompted many to believe that figure had been inflated with reports from the Associated Press, the New York Times and Fox News suggesting the crowd was much smaller than stated.

People then took to social media to describe the poor turnout.

“Bro said ‘display of military might’. I see lawn chairs and a Bluetooth speaker,” said one on Twitter. “It looks like a recruiting booth a Six Flags.”

“More people IN the parade than AT the parade,” said another.

So, there are a lot of different opinions on the parade, and even more on just how many actually turned up.

The POTUS was allegedly making a big claim before Melania Trump took action

A lip reader has revealed what Melania Trump said to her POTUS husband during a military parade, and it’s so long-term relationship coded.

Marriages appear to be the same for everyone, regardless of whether you’re the President of the United States or not.

There are ups and downs, bickers and appreciative words, hugs and spats at some point in your lives.

However, when you go on to become the First Lady and President of the US, these moments can be caught on camera.

Take a look at French President Emmanuel Macron, for example.

His alleged disagreement with his wife went viral after it appeared that she pushed his face with her hands whilst they were talking in the presidential jet.

There’s just not a lot of privacy when you’re a high-profile couple.

As for Donald Trump and Melania, they have eyes on them at all times when they leave the White House, and often, the public become very interested in the things they discuss.

Such was the case of when the pair attended Saturday’s military parade (June 14).

The pair were watching troops as they marched below them, and according to an expert, Melania shot her husband down when he made a claim about his conduct.

But this wasn’t a fiery exchange, according to Nicola Hickling, a lip reading expert- it was a little bit of fun.

She explained that when Melania praised the marching troops by telling her husband that ‘they’re good’, her hubby made a comment in jest.

He said, as per Hickling: “I pushed my finger on one of them.”

Melania then reportedly playfully rebuffed him, stating: “You didn’t do that.”

Having been called out, Trump had no way of doubling down on his joke after she shot it down, according to the expert, so he simply agreed, telling her: “You’re right, I never pushed my finger on them.”

With an exchange of touches to her knee, it appears as though the couple were enjoying themselves and each other’s company at the celebration which was to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the US Army, as well as Trump’s 79th birthday being staged on the same day.

Rumors of strife between the pair has been rampant since his first tenure in 2016, and when he came back to the White House this year, theories only worsened.

This is because the 55-year-old former model opts to keep a low profile and is rarely seen in public, as well as being notably absent from her husband’s campaign trail.

Melania also dodged Trump’s court appearances and only attended the late Pope Francis’ funeral the day before her birthday and the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn.

It was also revealed that the mom-of-one has made only a handful of visits to the White House in her husband’s months of being in office, accounting for less than 14 days in total, reports The New York Times.

While this could be simply that she prefers to live outside of the political landmark, others think it’s a sign that things aren’t well in the Trump household.

The president celebrated his birthday at a $45 million military parade with hundreds of thousands of people, though people suspect something different.

It was Donald Trump‘s 79th birthday on Saturday (June 14) and the POTUS celebrated it by attending a military parade dedicated to the US Army’s 250th anniversary in Washington, DC.

Trump walked out to ‘Hail to the Chief’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ alongside First Lady Melania Trump, his family, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth among other officials.

The power of the military went on full display in the parade, with tanks and aircrafts spanning the decades as well as parachuters from the sky and more than 6,000 uniformed soldiers in period consumes patrolling through the capital.

The parade lifted the lit on the American Army’s story, from the Battle of Lexington in the Revolutionary War through to the modern day.

The historic moment comes as the last time American troops gathered in such large numbers was after the Gulf War in 1991.

The president addressed the crowd and military personnel at the end of the parade in an eight-minute-long speech, saying in part: “Every other country celebrates their victories. It’s about time America did too.

“We’re the hottest country in the world right now,” he continued. “If you threaten the American people, our soldiers are coming for you.”

Afterwards, Trump and attendees were treated to a massive display of fireworks over the Tidal Basin.

The White House communications director, Steven Cheung, boasted that more than 250,000 ‘patriots showed up’ to lend their support, ‘despite the threat of rain’.

However, attendees and images of the parade has prompted many to believe that figure has been vastly inflated with reports from the Associated Press, the New York Times and Fox News suggesting the crowd was much smaller.

Dozens have since taken to social media to slam what they describe as a poor turnout.

“Bro said ‘display of military might’. I see lawn chairs and a Bluetooth speaker,” said one on Twitter. “It looks like a recruiting booth a Six Flags.”

“More people IN the parade than AT the parade,” said another.

Others said they felt sorry for the military personnel and that the spectacle, estimated to cost between $25 million to $45 million, was a waste of money.

“Military parades are a waste. I want our troops to be allowed to do their jobs, not be paraded around for trump’s birthday,” a third penned.

The big day came as Trump said he has wanted a parade since his first presidential term in 2017 but was blocked by his then-administration.

The event was also affected by protesters who deliberately organized a clash with the celebration, holding a flagship march in Philadelphia to ‘draw a clear contrast between our people-powered movement and the costly, wasteful, and un-American birthday parade in Washington,’ according to the ‘No Kings’ demonstrators as per The Independent.

The demonstrators took to cities across the US on Saturday in protest of Trump’s alleged authoritarian agenda including his aggressive immigration raids.

While Trump threatened to meet the protesters with a ‘very big force’ ahead of the parade, Cheung mocked them on Twitter, ironically calling it an ‘utter failure with minuscule attendance’.

“It is sad Democrats and liberals would rather support criminals and illegals instead of celebrating the 250th anniversary of our great U.S. Army and Flag Day. But many more Americans are commemorating our brave military men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice and who those continue to serve our country,” he wrote.

Pope Leo has addressed the US for first time with a bold message on the same day Donald Trump held a $45 million military parade.

On Saturday (June 14), President Donald Trump celebrated his 79th birthday party with a huge historic military parade through Washington, DC.

The power of the military went on full display in the parade, with tanks and aircrafts spanning the decades as well as parachuters from the sky and more than 6,000 uniformed soldiers in period consumes patrolling through the capital in the first of its kind since the end of the Gulf War in 1991.

Now, Pope Leo XIV addressed the nation in a rather unusual address – from the Chicago White Sox stadium – with a message that appears to snub the $45 million event.

Supporters of the head of the Roman Catholic Church gathered at the Rate Field baseball stadium the pope once attended as a South Side native and White Sox fan to hear his first message to North America.

The pre-recorded message from the Vatican was intended to celebrate his roots in Chicago and to offer words of comfort to young people.

Pope Leo acknowledged the adversity youngsters have faced during and since the Covid-19 pandemic, saying it inspired ‘moments of anxiety, of loneliness’ and ‘depression and sadness’.

He encouraged those from the field to attend local parishes where they can ‘discover the love of god is truly healing’.

“You are the promise of hope for so many of us. The world looks to you … we need you,” he said.

Then, in what some might interpret as a dig at the president’s military parade, he added: “We have to look beyond our egotistical ways to promote hope.

“That light … on the horizon is not easy to see and yet as we grow in our unity, we can discover that light growing brighter and brighter and we can become that message of hope to promote peace and unity throughout the world,” Leo added.

He concluded by encouraging people to ‘do something in our own lives to serve one another’.

“In that service to others … we may find the true meaning in our life,” he said.

The message of hope comes in direct contrast to the POTUS‘ eight-minute-long speech where he boasted of the US army’s military prowess to the alleged 250,000-strong crowd.

Trump said in part: “Every other country celebrates their victories. It’s about time America did too.

“We’re the hottest country in the world right now,” he continued. “If you threaten the American people, our soldiers are coming for you.”

The event was also hit by protesters who deliberately organized a clash with the celebration.

The ‘No Kings’ demonstrators said they did so to ‘draw a clear contrast between our people-powered movement and the costly, wasteful, and un-American birthday parade in Washington’.

Donald Trump has weighed in on whether his son, Donald Trump Jr., would consider running for president.

During his presidential campaign last year, Trump’s eldest child, known as ‘Don’ for short, was very outspoken in support of his father being reelected and also reportedly lobbied for JD Vance to become Vice President.

Trump Jr. also hosts a biweekly podcast Triggered with Don Jr. where he addresses various issues within politics.

But does the 45th and 47th US president’s son – who he shares with late ex-wife Ivana – have a future as a president himself?

During an interview with the New York Post journalist Miranda Devine on the Pod Force One podcast, Trump was asked if Trump Jr. might run for president himself.

“I don’t know. I mean I don’t know. I think all of them probably have a future in politics, frankly. And Don is very good. A good guy. He’s an outdoorsman,” he said.

Trump’s apprehension about saying a specific ‘yes’ could be due to Trump Jr. explicitly stating on his own X account that ‘while I’ll never 100% rule it out down the line, I have ZERO interest in running for office in [20]28 or anytime soon’.

President Trump instead suggested that all of his children could have a future in politics and boasted that they ‘were born very smart’ during the interview, released on Wednesday (June 11).

He added: “Eric has done a fantastic job. Barron is great. He is very tall and good. Ivanka, you know Ivanka? She’s so great. And Tiffany has done really well. She went to a great law school and did very well. Always a good student.”

Barron Trump, 19, has received a lot of attention in recent months after enrolling as a student at New York University studying at the prestigious Stern School of Business. But also because of his tall stature of 6ft 7in.

Speaking about his youngest son, who he shares with First Lady Melania Trump, the president told Fox News in March: “If you look at my kids, all of my kids, they’ve been very good, they’ve been very smart.

“They love our country and they’re proud of their father.”

When asked which of Barron’s talents stand out – politics or business – Trump said it was his technological abilities that were ‘unbelievable’.

Recalling an example, Trump said: “I turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh good,’ and I go back five minutes later, he’s got his laptop. I said, ‘How’d you do that?’

“‘None of your business, Dad’.
