Donald Trump revealed his plan to ramp up ICE deportations across the country and commended the work that had already been done in a new post online.
Protests have erupted around the US about the conduct of theImmigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over the last few weeks, but Donald Trump has recently praised their actions.
In a new post on social media, the president made it clear he had plans to ramp up their actions issuing a warning to three cities.
He argued that those opposed to their behavior were ‘radical democrat politicians’ and insisted that he was focused on conducting ‘single largest mass deportation program in history’.

The post addressed the backlash ICE has received recently and read: “Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible strength, determination, and courage as they facilitate a very important mission, the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History. Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People. ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”
Speaking about how the program would intensify, he issued a warning to Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.
He also took shots at his critics and made a series of claims about their overall objections and intentions.
He said: “In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside.

“These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens. These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities — And they are doing a good job of it! There is something wrong with them.
“That is why they believe in Open Borders, Transgender for Everybody, and Men playing in Women’s Sports — And that is why I want ICE, Border Patrol, and our Great and Patriotic Law Enforcement Officers, to FOCUS on our crime ridden and deadly Inner Cities, and those places where Sanctuary Cities play such a big role. You don’t hear about Sanctuary Cities in our Heartland!”
The president closed by saying he and his administration were putting ‘every resource possible’ behind this effort.
He closed by saying that ICE, the FBI, DEA, ATF and a slew of other governmental departments have his full support and must now get the job done.

Donald Trump has said he would ‘certainly’ consider using a 1807 law as protests continue across Los Angeles.
Civil unrest has erupted in the Californian city in the wake of arrests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in areas with significant Latino populations. When Trump returned to the White House, he pledged to crack down on illegal immigration.
Protests took place over the weekend and President Trump has responded by deploying National Guard troops in an attempt to deescalate the situation.
Despite demonstrations starting out peacefully, cars have been set on fire and dozens of people have been arrested.
On Saturday (June 7) Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard members to the Los Angeles area.
“If Governor Gavin Newscum [sic], of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!” he wrote on Truth Social.

California governor Gavin Newsom reacted on X following the National Guard green light: “I have formally requested the Trump Administration rescind their unlawful deployment of troops in Los Angeles county and return them to my command. We didn’t have a problem until Trump got involved.”
On Monday evening (June 9) Trump ordered another 2,000 National Guard members to the city and the Pentagon called up 700 marines to help.
However, Trump has said he would consider invoking the Insurrection Act 1807 to tackle the public unrest in the city.

This law allows the president to use active-duty military personnel to enact law-enforcement duties inside the US.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday (10 June), Trump said: “If there’s an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it. We’ll see.”
The current use of troops is covered not by the Insurrection Act but Trump instead cited a similar federal law named Title 10.
The rarely used Insurrection Act was written in broad terms which means presidents have a wide range on when and how its powers can be mobilised.
The law has been invoked in the past, including by President Ulysses S Grant who invoked it against a rise of racist violence by the Ku Klux Klan after the US Civil War.
President Dwight D Eisenhower invoked it to ensure the US Army would escort African-American students to their high school in Little Rock, Arkansas after the state’s governor decided against complying with a federal desegregation order for the school in 1957.
It was also invoked in 1992 when riots broke out in Los Angeles following the acquittal of four white police officers for the beating of Rodney King, an African-American man.

Immigration protestors and rioters have been standing off with police in LA and Donald Trump has now intervened but faces criticism for one simple reason.
Protests and demonstrations have been going on for the last few days outside the Los Angeles Federal Building in the downtown area of LA, following raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the area.
However, on Saturday (June 7), tensions began to rise further with Donald Trump taking steps to quell the demonstrations ‘the way it should be solved’.
California’s Governor Gavin Newsom confirmed that Trump’s administration is deploying 2,000 California National Guard troops following clashes between citizens and ICE officers in riot gear.
He took to social media to condemn this move with Trump hitting back at him in response.
Newsom said: “The federal government is sowing chaos so they can have an excuse to escalate. That is not the way any civilized country behaves.”

Trump replied on Truth Social saying: “If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!”
Trump’s move has been widely condemned on Twitter with many pointing out the fact that Trump failed to call the National Guard in when the January 6 rioters attempted to storm the Capitol.
One furious Twitter user commented: “President Biden never needed to send National Guard troops to LA for protests, and trump REFUSED to send them to the Capitol on January 6th.
“This is part of trump’s fascist Project 2025 takeover. Full blown authoritarianism is here.”
Another added: “Trump refused to call in the National Guard when it was most needed. Let that sink in.”
A third commented: “Notice how quickly trump send National Guard troops to L.A. to calm immigration protests but refused to do the same on Jan. 6 when his supporters were storming the Capitol.”
Another simply wrote: “So Trump deploys the National Guard to LA, but didn’t deploy them on J6?”

Following the National Guard’s deployment, Trump again took to Truth Social to praise them, levy criticism at Newsom and Bass while also insisting that protestors would no longer be permitted to wear face masks.
He wrote: “Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes and unrest. We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their very slow permitting disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to handle the task.
“These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will not be tolerated. Also, from now on, masks will not be allowed to be worn at protests. What do these people have to hide and why Again, thank you to the National Guard for a job well done.”

Donald Trump snapped after a judge ruled how he handled the LA situation by calling in the National Guard was illegal.
A federal judge has ordered control of the troops to return California Governor Gavin Newsom following the controversial move from Donald Trump.
Following protests and riots in Los Angeles over the conduct of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, Trump ordered the National Guard into the state.
The state in turn sued Trump over this order as it did not have Newsom’s consent.
Trump said he was sending the troops, who are typically under the governor’s authority, to stop LA from ‘burning down’ and insisted this move was necessary.

US District Judge Charles Breyer said that the question that was presented by the state of California was whether Trump’s actions followed the law set by Congress on the deployment of a state’s National Guard.
In his decision, Breyer wrote: “[Trump] did not.
“His actions were illegal… He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith.”
Following this ruling, Trump vented his frustrations on his social media platform, and firmly defended his actions.
He said: “The Biden Administration and Governor Newscum flooded America with 21 Million Illegal Aliens, destroying Schools, Hospitals and Communities, and consuming untold Billions of Dollars in Free Welfare.
“All of them have to go home, as do countless other Illegals and Criminals, who will turn us into a bankrupt Third World Nation. America was invaded and occupied. I am reversing the Invasion. It’s called Remigration. Our courageous ICE Officers, who are daily being subjected to doxxing and murder threats, are HEROES.

“We will always have their back as they carry out this noble mission. America will be for Americans again!”
In a follow-up message, Trump argued that LA would be burning to the ground if it wasn’t for his intervention.
In a post less than half an hour later, he said: “Incompetent Gavin Newscum should have been THANKING me for the job we did in Los Angeles, rather than making sad excuses for the poor job he has done. If it weren’t for me getting the National Guard into Los Angeles, it would be burning to the ground right now!”

Donald Trump has signed an order that will ban people from 12 countries from entering the US.
The POTUS signed the travel ban yesterday (June 4), which will take effect on Monday. Countries may still be removed — or added — before then.
Trump‘s decision comes off the back of an attack that took place in Colorado in recent days, an ordeal that saw an Egyptian national allegedly target a group of pro-Israel protesters at an outdoor mall in Boulder, BBC News reported.
Speaking on the link between the order and the attack on June 2, Trump said: “The recent terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, has underscored the extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of foreign nationals who are not properly vetted, as well as those who come here as temporary visitors and overstay their visas.”
“As President, I must act to protect the national security and national interest of the United States and its people,” he added.
Trump continued to argue that America must ensure that those coming into the country don’t have ‘hostile attitudes toward its citizens, culture, government, institutions, or founding principles’, Sky News says.
The 12 nations included in the order are: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
The Trump administration will ‘partially restrict and limit the entry of nationals’ from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela as well.
With the date of the ban looming, as per usual, Trump said he’s willing to negotiate with the countries listed.

He described himself as being ‘committed to engaging with those countries willing to cooperate to improve information-sharing and identity-management procedures, and to address both terrorism-related and public-safety risks’, as per New York Post.
Some people are except from the ban, however, these include athletes traveling for major sporting events, those with ‘immigrant visas for ethnic and religious minorities facing persecution in Iran’, Afghan nationals holding Special Immigrant Visas, lawful permanent residents of the US, and dual nationals who have citizenship in countries not included in the travel ban, the BBC explained.
As expected, Trump’s new order has created some backlash as Rep. Pramila Jayapal, the former chair of Congressional Progressive Caucus, branded the ban as ‘dangerous’.
She said on Twitter: “This ban, expanded from Trump’s Muslim ban in his first term, will only further isolate us on the world stage.”
“This discriminatory policy, which limits legal immigration, not only flies in the face of what our country is supposed to stand for, it will be harmful to our economy and our communities that rely on the contributions of people who come to America from this wide range of countries,” Jayapal continued.
