Viewers praise ‘addictive’ raunchy Netflix show that gets some fans ‘going every night’

Fans have raved over the racy content on display in the series – which follows a suburban mom exploring her sexuality

A steamy Netflix show that has been likened to ‘porn’ has been lauded as ‘addictive’ by fans.

The raunchy series is jam-packed with intimacy – so much so that it gets some viewers ‘going every night.

The show follows a married suburban mom Billie Connelly, played by Sarah Shahi, who begins chasing her fantasies.

In the eight episodes of the first season, Billie begins to explore her sexuality and desires, taking her back to her wild past – at the cost of jeopardising her ‘safety net’.

Taking to IMDb, one user gave it top marks of 10/10, penning the following review: “Sexy and addicting, the perfect guilty pleasure!

“I watched the whole series in 1 day. From the first episode it started so strong, the chemistry between Billie and Brad is truly amazing, I loved the flashbacks and getting the background of why some relationships were doomed to be problematic from the beginning.

“Didn’t want it to end and definitely looking forward to another season. Want as much Brad as Netflix can give us, please!”

Yes, they binged the entire series in just one day, and they weren’t the only person to fall for the racy show.

Over on Facebook, one user took to the group Netflix Bangers to urge people to give it a watch – which is easy to do considering there’s only two seasons and 14 episodes altogether.

“Sex life on Netflix lol whew had me and my partner going every night and we won’t even trying to watch it for that reason . It’s actually a really good story line,” they penned.

While another added: “Yeah this has a good story it can help those going into or already in marriage.”

But not everyone was in agreement, with one person writing a damning review – although still rating it a five out of 10 on IMDb.

“Just Watch Porn Instead,” they wrote on the platform.

“Sexually frustrated wife decided to cheat on her husband. Hmmm, where have I seen this? Oh yes, in porn movies. And I’ve seen porn with better plot.

“I think the writer just wanted to have as many sex scene as possible in every episode. Because that’s the only selling point here. The story is kind of ridiculous.”

It went on to criticize its the storyline, before concluding: “I feel sorry for the actors and actresses here because they did a good job. But the story is not that worthy. If you just want to watch sex better go watch porn. At least they are entertaining.”

‘Must watch’ new Netflix documentary is so ‘heartbreaking’ viewers are warning to ‘have the tissues ready’

A new Netflix documentary has viewers warning others to have the ’tissues ready’ due to its ‘heartbreaking’ nature.

While the ‘must watch’ has only just dropped on the popular streaming platform, many viewers have flocked to social media to praise the new documentary, despite it telling a devastating story.

The Netflix doc tells the story of Jason Corbett, who moved from Limerick, Ireland to the US in April 2011 with his two children after marrying American Molly Martens.

This came after the death of Jason’s first wife and mother to his children Mags, who died in 2006 from an asthma attack. Molly was hired as an au pair while she was travelling, and a relationship was soon kindled with Jason.

Jason and Molly soon relocated to North Carolina to wed, and from the outside appeared to have the perfect family life, with Molly stepping in as a mom to Jason’s young children, Jack and Sarah – but it was seemingly anything but.

On August 2, 2015, the family’s word was turned upside down as Jason was brutally beaten to death with a baseball bat and brick in his own home.

Molly and her father, retired FBI agent Thomas Martens, would ultimately be arrested over the death of Jason and were found guilty of second-degree murder, with them originally being sentenced to a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 25 years in prison.

The pair have long maintained that Jason threatened to kill her and was abusive in their marriage, and therefore appealed the original verdict.

They both eventually received reduced sentences for manslaughter after the appeal was successful, before Molly and her father were both released from prison in June 2024.

A Deadly American Marriage, which tells the disturbing story, features emotional interviews from Jason’s two children Jack and Sarah – who are now both young adults living in their native Ireland after being raised by Jason’s sister – while Molly and her father also feature telling their version of events.

The documentary explores the fateful night of Jason’s death, including the 911 call placed by his father-in-law.

It also explores two arguments over what to lead to Jason being killed on that August evening.

A Deadly American Marriage has become a hot topic of conversation on Facebook’s ‘Netflix Bangers’ after many tuned into the doc over the past few days.

“This is a must watch. But have the tissues ready,” one person wrote on the group, while a second added: “This was horrible!!!!! Prayers for his children and family. Heartbreaking.”

Speaking of the project, filmmakers Jessica Burgess and Jenny Popplewell told TUDUM: “This film is structured like a trial. It presents key arguments from both sides and allows the audience to draw their own conclusions about the case.

“From the very beginning, we approached both families. For the film to remain objective and balanced, we never discussed information we learned with either side.”

The documentary also discusses the aftermath of the case, which included a custody dispute between Molly and Jason’s family over whether the children should return to their home in Ireland or remain in the US.

Netflix subscribers given deadline for ‘perfect raunchy comedy’ that saw Jennifer Lawrence agree to career first nude scene

Jennifer Lawrence goes full-frontal in the comedy co-starring Andrew Barth Feldman

If you’re in need of a good laugh, then one particular Jennifer Lawrence movie has got you covered – but you’ll need to be quick.

Having stepped into the spotlight with roles in X-Men, Like Crazy, and, of course, The Hunger Games, Lawrence didn’t necessarily rise to fame as a comedy star, but her most recent movie has certainly established her as one.

In the flick, released in 2023 and now streaming on Netflix, Lawrence takes on the role of Maddie Baker – a single woman on the brink of losing her home who decides to take on a somewhat unusual job offered by the parents of a socially awkward teen as she seeks to make a bit of extra cash.

Andrew Barth Feldman, Laura Benanti, and Matthew Broderick star alongside Lawrence in the movie, and if there’s one thing to know before you watch it, it’s that you don’t want your parents in the room.

Titled No Hard Feelings, the movie follows Lawrence’s character as she attempts to bring Feldman’s character, Percy, out of his shell, but it’s not as easy as she initially might think.

The antics that ensue include Lawrence carrying out her first full-frontal nude scene – a plot point that had the actor walking around naked for a whole day.

With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 76 percent on the Tomatometer and an 86 percent Audience Score, the movie is definitely worth your time, but Netflix has warned that there’s only a few days left to go until it’s removed from the streaming service.

No Hard Feelings is set to depart from Netflix on April 21, giving you just over a week to take in everything – and I mean everything – Lawrence has to offer.

Fans have raved about the movie, with one offering up five stars on Rotten Tomatoes as they wrote: “I think this film is perfection. Just watched it for the third time and it still makes me laugh out loud throughout. It’s raunchy and offbeat, but it also has a lot of heart. Great performances. Just an all around good time.”

Another commented: “Perfect comedy to lift your spirits and watch on repeat. Jennifer Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman couldn’t have had better on-screen chemistry with their hilariously cringy & awkward moments. Tears may be shed during the belly aching, laugh out loud scenes, as well as the poignant dialogues exposing character’s insecurities. Definitely a knock-out performance by the cast and crew!”

Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts starred in a 2004 romantic drama together and bonded over their characters so much they bought each other specific gifts.

Written by Patrick Marber (The Critic), the movie is based on Marber’s own award-winning 1997 play with references to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo Da Ponte’s 1790 opera Così fan tutte.

The film was directed by Mike Nichols (The Graduate) and produced by Nichols alongside Cary Brokaw (The Resident) and John Calley (The Da Vinci Code).

It features an all-star cast of Julia Roberts (Leave the World Behind), Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta), Jude Law (Eden) and Clive Owen (Cleaner) – with Owen and Portman winning awards for their roles, alongside a win for the cast as an ensemble.

The flick – titled Closer – marked the first time Portman and Roberts worked together and the actors bonded so much over certain similarities between their characters they ended up giving each other gifts.

And off the back of their characters’ foul use of language, Portman told Interview Magazine she gifted Roberts a necklace at the start of filming which read ‘c**t’.

Roberts later reportedly returned the favor at the end of production by giving Portman a necklace reading ‘Lil’ c**t’.

Iconic.

But if you’re still wondering whether to add the film to your ‘To Watch’ list despite the stellar cast?

Well, the story centers on American stripper Alice (Portman) who moves to London and bumps into a man (Law) on the street – to disastrous consequences, but with quite a sweet outcome. The question is, will the relationships formed withstand the test of time?

The film was a hit at the box office, grossing over $115 million worldwide on a $27 million budget, as per Box Office Mojo.

Owen won a British Academy Film Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Closer. He and Portman also won Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actor and Actress.

And another simply resolved: “Gotta watch this now.”

Netflix viewers praise new true-crime documentary as the ‘best to be released in a long time’

The documentary is full of twists and turns as it follows the life of an Elvis impersonator

A new true-crime documentary that’s arrived on Netflix is being described by viewers as the ‘best to be released in a long time’ as it follows the life of an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Sure, a lot of people mimic the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, but not many have stories like that of Kevin Curtis.

Released this month, the three-part Netflix documentary details how Curtis worked as a janitor as well as an Elvis impersonator – and it was during this day-job that he came across a horrifying discovery in a morgue.

What Curtis found led him into an internet rabbit hole, and he became wrapped up in conspiracies that ended up costing him his job, his wife, his friends and his relationship with his children.

Determined to expose the ‘dark underbelly of Tupelo’ in Mississippi, US where Elvis was born, Curtis’ venture ended up sparking a rivalry that extended all the way to Washington D.C.

In April 2013, Curtis found his quiet Tupelo home being raided by dozens of police and federal investigators as he was accused of sending letters to government officials, including then-President Barack Obama, which had been laced with a lethal poison called ricin.

Each of the letters was signed: “I am KC and I approve this message.”

Curtis was hauled into police custody, and left with no choice but to fight to clear his name.

The Elvis fan was questioned by authorities about his knowledge of ricin – only Curtis responded to insist that he could hardly stand rice and hadn’t eaten it in years.

As authorities continued to investigate, the possibility that Curtis had been framed began to become more likely.

Created by Emmy-winning directors Maclain Way and Chapman Way, The Kings of Tupelo: A Southern Crime Saga features interviews with Curtis’ friends and family – as well as a few people who are presented as his enemies – and the twists and turns have left viewers at the edge of their seats.
